The timeline of events are a little different in this book. I know Geto killed a lot of people and ran away when he was still in JJ High but in this book, he graduates from JJ High and is a little older when he decides to switch sides. (I need something to help with the three-year age gap, please sorry thanks)
Hope you enjoy!

Lentil soup. Barely cooked. Again.
Sticky rice. Over cooked. Again.
'Do I force myself to swallow this or do I just kill myself?' Yuriko was a teenager; fighting for her life, and her dignity, everyday. She'd come to realise what a failure the world was. Harsh. The more she grew up, the more disgusting the world around her seemed. She felt the filth smudge on her skin. The fights around her, people killing each other without a care, wiped out like they never existed, perverted men, disgusting stares, uncomfortable touches, thieves, weapons, curses, hunger, bare shelter-
"What do I do now?" She nonchalantly said aloud, completely devoid of emotions. "Oye." She softly called, her eyes fixed on the dark corner of her dingy room, or what was left of it. A curse walked towards her, scared for its life. She'd figured out her ability, enough and more to survive. "Bring me some food, will you?" She said, "if you don't want to die, that is".
"I'm kidding" she said "but if you're hungry, there's a bunch of weak bandits causing problems just two streets away." She watched the curse intently look at her. It behaved differently. It behaved like it had just been turned into a curse. Judging by the size of it, it could've been a toddler. A confused one at that.
"I'll help you out if you agree to help me out". She coldly said, "come on now. We can't have you hungry" she mumbled, "we can't have anyone hungry".
She even exorcised curses for a quick buck.
She could wipe curses and cursed energy with a touch and the reason she attracted curses was because she was a void. Gravitating curses towards herself until she touched them. A blackhole - vain, worthless, meaningless, abandoned, hollow, empty...
Nada.
She'd barely closed her eyes and drifted out of consciousness under her tattered roof that night when a treacherous scream woke her right up. A kid. Wailing.
She waited for someone to come looking for their kid, maybe even take it back with them. She waited for long.
"What a pain in the ass", she finally pushed her blanket away and made her way to the door. "What's all the noise about?"
She looked down to see the kid stop and look at her. Teary eyes and a snotty nose. "Where's your mother? What about your father?" She asked.
"Mama" the child said before she resumed weeping. The kid looked so lost and Yuriko couldn't bear to look at that face - lost, cold, hungry, hurt and confused. A 4 year old.
"Come in" she hated herself every time she did it.
"Senseiiii" a kid form inside her tiny cottage said. "Another one?"
Yuriko smiled, "yes, Haruto. Another one." She took in all the kids that came up to her like that. Kids without parents or guardians, starving and restless. She wouldn't spare a thought, let alone a second one.
"We can't have anyone hungry".
14. The number had increased to 14. One more mouth to feed. One more curse to exorcise. One more job to find. But first, they needed a bigger place. Away from that terrible garbage dump of a place - filthy and rotten to its very soul.
————
Time skip - Yuriko is of 18 years of age and has a better job. She exorcises curses, works as an artist by day and runs to her part time job as a bartender by evening. After having moved to a decent locality with 16 kids to look after, Yuriko is working as hard as she can. But the neighbours are worried about the abnormalities in the area, unaware of the curses that being attracted.
"Suguru..." Principal Yaga called him, "I need you to go to this address and check what's happening. 6 people have gone missing and by the looks of it, the place seems to be infested with curses. It's the perfect job for- SUGURU PAY ATTENTION".
"Haiii" he scoffed "isn't this too early to-"
"You're late! It's already 8 am, you must hurry before someone gets hurt again." Yaga kicked him out.
"Suguru~" Gojo seemed very happy to have heard his friend get yelled at first thing in the morning "were you getting yelled at??"
"Shut up" Geto said "why can't you go instead of me?"
"Because I have a stupid report work to finish, you're exorcising curses! Feel free to switch!" Satoru said, hoping for Geto to agree.
"Nah"
"Stay safe" Satoru's tone was more serious.
"It's an easy task for me" he smiled before leaving. His smile dropped with every step he took out of the school.
A rag that tasted like vomit. First thing that day.
Geto felt the chills down his spine as he took the last turn, heading towards the designated building.
'Why on earth are there so many?!'
He hurried inside the building.
————
"All of you need to hurry. You're going to be late for school." She softly said as she hurried to the stove. Cursed spirits crawling all around the place. She definitely couldn't manage all of it alone. She needed help. And helping her were the cursed spirits, to cook for the kids, clean the house and watch out for intruders.
She couldn't sense it when a few of the curses were exorcised in an instant. She couldn't control them, she could only threaten the curses to help her. She was also completely unaware of how bad it had gotten and how it affected the area that they lived in. She really had nothing to do with that.
Geto exorcised them one by one, his eyes widening with every single curse exorcised 'bloody hell, how many are there?' He looked at the door right before him, he sensed a strong curse inside and barged right in.
Geto froze.
Kids running around, packing their bags and their bento, trying to find their socks, running in their patchwork uniform in a run-down place.
That was the last thing he was expecting.
As soon as Yuriko saw an intruder smash the door open, she quickly pulled the kids away and put herself in the way, "please don't hurt them", she pleaded.
Geto had never been so confused in his life.
"Huh?"
