Suguru was so feral he didn't realize how many of his curses he'd just released.

Jun had no idea what was happening anymore. When she saw the kids die before her eyes, she couldn't move a limb. She couldn't do anything about it, they weren't curse users. She managed to kill a few of them but there were just too many. She couldn't get them to run as fast, all she saw was their bodies being flung at her as she spiraled in sheer terror. The gash on the side of her torso was profusely bleeding as she held onto Haruto, too scared to see if he was even alive.

Red.

Everything around her was Red.

Suguru indulged in a gorefest, tearing everything and everyone in his way - he looked possessed. "YOU WANTED ME HERE, DIDN'T YOU??! NOW FIGHT" it was his downfall, his insanity, "WHO SAID YOU COULD RUN NOW?!" He glared in sheer disgust, "MONKEYS DON'T EVEN DESERVE TO LIVE".

That was the beginning of his doom. The end of life as he knew it.

She felt a surge of energy in her body, still unable to comprehend anything. She knew very well that she didn't have cursed energy, but when she saw her arms, she saw Geto's cursed energy.

She quickly realized what she did. She'd manifested the cursed energy she'd nullified... more like - absorbed. She didn't have cursed energy of her own, she was a medium. But she couldn't get her limbs to move. She couldn't let go of Haruto from her arms.

She vaguely remembered seeing Geto's curses, she barely noticed his dragon. She was barely conscious, losing a lot of blood.

She didn't realise when the fight ended. She paid no attention to her surroundings, she could barely move.

"H-Haruto..." she softly caressed his hair "my baby..." she kissed his head before pulling him out of her hold, only to see his lifeless eyes staring right into hers. "N-No..." she held his face as her voice gave up on her. Her lips parted and she tried to call out to him but nothing came out of her mouth.

"Haruto..." she whispered, pumping his chest. She bled even more with how much she was moving. "Chio... Botan..." she tried to call out to the others who were scattered around her "Sous..ke" she cried "Yua".

All she felt was Geto pulling her back and away from them as she fought him "let me go, please" she struggled out of his arms "they need me... please" she couldn't hear anything he was saying "please" she begged. "Doctor..." she said "please".

"YOU'RE LOSING TOO MUCH BLOOD" she finally heard him, "WE NEED TO GET YOU TO SHOKO!"

"Take them first" she pleaded "please take them first".

He knew not even Shoko could save them, his heart had broken a million times over as he held back his tears. He was devastated with how she was.

"Suguru san..." she looked at him with hopeful eyes "please... I promise I won't ask for anything else, I never have. Please save them. You don't have to-"

"Jun..." he couldn't see her in the eyes. "Let's go. You're bleeding".

"Suguru... san" she desperately hoped to save them even though she knew she couldn't do anything, she hoped for a miracle.

He had to rush her to Shoko first. He couldn't afford to lose all of them at once. He felt such surreal amounts of pain surge through him that he could barely function.

He picked her up and headed out with heavy steps, shutting his ears out from what she was saying. He couldn't listen to it, he knew it was impossible to bring them back. He couldn't listen to it because he'd lose her too. As her eyes began drooping, his heart picked up the pace. For the first time in his life, Suguru was dead scared.

Shoko gasped as she opened the door for them and everyone fell silent. He wordlessly took her inside and Shoko followed the trail of blood he left behind. Jun was unconscious and barley breathing.

"Where are the kids?" Satoru softly asked as Geto watched Shoko treat her. His question was answered when Geto couldn't say a word. Geto turned around and headed back to the living room, he had to tell the other kids and he didn't know how. He had neither the heart nor the courage. He kneeled on the floor, blaming himself for everything that had happened.

"I..." he choked on his words as the kids hopefully waited for him to say something.

"Geto san" Tio sat in front of him "will Haruto and the others be back soon?"

"Are they at the hospital?" Itsuki joined Tio. They were all just like Jun. So stubborn about being hopeful.

Satoru wanted the earth to swallow him, he barely knew them but he couldn't bear to see the kids like that. He felt worse for his best friend, he'd lost much in a day and he was losing her too.

"I couldn't... save them" Geto looked at his hands before placing them in front of him and leaned until his forehead pressed the floor "it's all my fault... and I couldn't do anything. I'm sor-"

"Geto san" Tio gently touched his hair "Jun sensei would be so mad if she saw you like this."

He was right. She would probably dump him for doing that. Geto raised his head to look at Tio who slid his hands around Geto's neck and hugged him "you brought sensei back" Tio cried into his shoulder. He held the other kids as they wept, they did so well even though they were so frightened and completely clueless. Not a word came from Geto as he lifelessly held them, his mind wondered how he'd even face Jun if she survived. But what if she didn't? His chest felt hollow at the thought of it, he placed everything in Shoko's hands.

Satoru quietly sat next to him with a first aid kit as he dabbed some antiseptic on the gash on Geto's shoulder. He didn't even know when and how that happened, he was too engrossed in his gorefest. "Principal Yaga is going to kill you", Satoru said.

"That's the least of my worries now" Geto mumbled.

Satoru hated how the situation had turned, Geto did kill a lot of people but for reasons that were completely valid. He still had to be placed before the higher ups because of the scale of damage that was done. He didn't even bother to cast a veil and the devastation was all over the news.

"You might get expelled".
