Yuriko wanted to leave but Principal Yaga wouldn't let her. He'd actually begun to feel terrible for her, "Satoru is a bonehead, I'm sure he doesn't mean it. He wouldn't keep you close just because you have the ability to kill him."

"I don't want to talk about it," she'd requested him not to have her on the same team as Satoru for missions.

"I know we haven't been very nice to you and I apologise. I didn't realise that the higher ups would do that, didn't think it could go this bad. I should've known better." He searched her face for answers. Answers she wouldn't otherwise give him.

"It's fine. Who am I with for this one?"

"Nanami," he said and saw her let out a small sigh. "Is he an ass to you, too?"

"Tell me who isn't." She mumbled before taking leave.

She didn't have the energy to be nice to Nanami when he couldn't even be bothered to not be rude to her for no reason.

"Are you sure you can go on missions so soon?" He tried to hide the concern in his voice "didn't you get poisoned?"

"Yeah, too bad for you, I didn't die. Let's go now", she said without wasting another second.

"I'm glad you didn't," he sighed in relief before following her. When Nanami heard about it, he was so disturbed. It was very late in the night when he finally got off his mission to go see her and she was fast asleep. Satoru sat on the chair near her bed, by the window, "is she alright?" Nanami tried to sound as cold as possible, he saw small dark circles forming around Satoru's eyes.

"Barely," Satoru couldn't sleep, "it was too close".

His expressionless face made Nanami question a lot of things, but the most important thing that struck him was how pale and disturbed she looked while she rested.

"What are you doing here?" Satoru finally asked him. The Nanami he knew wouldn't show up like this for someone who just went on a couple of missions with him. And as his junior.

"I came to see how she's doing." He sat on the bed, careful enough to not wake her up. The IV stuck to her hand made him internally seethe in anger. He wondered how the higher ups could be so cruel. She was the most harmless Jujutsu Sorcerer he'd come across.

All the thoughts weaving in Nanami's head came to a halt when he felt a pair of blue piercing eyes on him and his chocolate brown ones turned to meet Satoru's sharp gaze.

"They're all semi-special grade," His back was pressed against the wall as he peeked to take a look at them. Yuriko was next to him, too. "Fuck there's 8 of them. Zenin, you need to leave."

"What?" She thought she heard him wrong.

"Leave", was all he said.

"I can't leave without you. That's not-"

"The veil will not let both of us leave," he hoped for her to say yes and leave, "Zenin, you can't be here."

"I'm a part of this mission too."

"And I'm your senior so you listen to me"

"No!" She whisper-yelled, and he turned to fully look at her, trying to understand why she was so stubborn. He took a quick step towards her, her legs mirrored his movement, her back almost hitting the perpendicular extension of the wall. His arm gripped the edge of the extending wall and looked down at the smaller figure in front of him, "listen to me." His husky voice wasn't registering in her head, "I'm injured..." he let out a deep exhale, "and you need to leave."
