Satoru held her as her lifeless eyes went straight through his heart, "WAKE UP, PLEASE!" He began sensing everything that went wrong while he was gone. He couldn't sense so many of his friends, his comrades. His breaths grew short as he held her cold body in his hands.

"BABY, WAKE UP!" He tried to revive her with his reverse cursed technique but she didn't absorb his cursed energy anymore. He kissed her now pale lips, hoping that she'd respond, hoping that she'd absorb some of his cursed energy, give him some movement to tell him that she had some traces of life still left.

She'd bled out. Her face had gone cold and her eyes were dull. "I-" he cried as he looked at her face. He couldn't bear losing her too, "I'm so... sorry, baby, I-... w-what do I... t-tell Sayuri? A-And Megumi?" He'd already broken several times when he first killed Suguru; and now her. She was all he had.

"SATORU!" Shoko came running, and Satoru knew that Principal Yaga didn't make it either. Everyone he knew was either dead or dying. "SATORU, WH-" Shoko reached Yuriko when she saw her, "YURI! FUCK!" She pulled Yuriko out of Satoru's hold as he sat there limp. "No! I can't heal her! NO!" Shoko was trying everything she could, but he knew that not even Shoko would be able to bring her back.

"Where's... Sayuri?" His voice barely made it out.

"She's safe. Nowhere near here." Shoko was busy doing everything she could, "Satoru, I'm so sorry-"

"Where is he?"

"Satoru, you're-"

"Where is he?" His voice trembled as his throat felt tight. Like someone was wringing his neck.

He'd just lost the love of his life and he began thinking if anything was even worth saving anymore.

"Yuri?"

Yuriko woke up in a very unfamiliar place. It was dimly lit and she could see the light source at the farthest end of the corridor. She sat up to look at herself, she knew she couldn't have made it with all those injures. She was far too wounded when she used her Domain Expansion. She couldn't have possibly survived that.

She realised that she awoke when someone called her.

"S-Suguru san?" Her voice soft. Like she'd woken up from a horrible dream where he died, not once, but twice. "Where-"

"You need to go back." He said, leaning against the wall. No stitches on his forehead, no disgust when he looked at her. Just him, looking at her the way he used to, with a soft smile on his face.

"What?"

"You can't die like this, Yuri." He said as he helped her up, "you need to go back. They need you there."

"Where am I? What... Suguru san, you're alive!"

"You need to go back before you die. They need you. More than I do. Satoru needs you. Your students need you. Your daughter-"

"Aren't you mad at me?" She couldn't wrap her head around it.

"For what?" He chuckled. Oh, how she missed his laugh.

"That I'm..." she hesitated.

"With Satoru?" He laughed, "as much as I want you, I don't think I'd want you to end up with anyone other than him when I'm not there. It's my fault I left you like that. You deserve the best, baby. After all that you've-"

"Aren't you angry?"

"I'm only angry at myself, my love. I could never be mad at you even if I wanted to." He had a soft smile on his face. "Look at you... how could I ever be mad at you?" His arms held her like they always did and this time, he was so, so warm. Geto Suguru warm.
