Principal Yaga thought Satoru was joking when he said he wanted to avail his 'paternity leave'.

"Are you sure you'll be okay without stepping out for missions?"

"I'm really worried about Yuriko." He sighed, "I can't have anyone know she's pregnant. Only Nanami and Megumi know for now. I don't know what to tell the kids at Jujutsu High."

"Won't it be weird if you disappeared on 'paternity leave'?" Principal Yaga asked, "they'll know something's off."

"Come on, I need to be there for once in my life." Satoru scowled, "and she's in a lot of pain, she just won't tell me anything."

"Fine. You'll only go on the important ones. I'll send the students to hunt the small fries." He said, "I'll make up some excuse for your absence."

"Sensei, you're the best!"

"Baaaabyyyy, daddy's hooooome~" he held a big box of her favourite pasta from an Italian restaurant. In Italy.

He pouted when she didn't reply, and proceeded to set the food down in the kitchen, "honey, you need to eat it while it's hot." He walked towards his room, "but man, was it crowded! I had to wait in line for an hour and fight with the manager because he said no take-aw-" she wasn't in his room either, "Yuriko?"

"YURIKO???" He barged into his bathroom. Empty.

And then his closet, "BABY???"

Empty.

"Sweetheart, this isn't funny. Please tell me if you're hiding, I'm losing my mind here~" He nervously sang as he looked all around his house.

He couldn't sense their cursed energy either and his worries doubled. He looked on every single surface, hoping to find a note, a clue, anything she could've left behind. He thought she was with Shoko and called her, only to be disappointed.

He called Principal Yaga, who had no clue where she was, "SHE'S MISSING?? FUCK! I'll have everyone look for her!"

Satoru took a deep breath and called Megumi next.

"I didn't go to class today, I'm in my dorm." He said, "wait, what do you mean she's not at home?!" He started panicking with Satoru.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT IN CLASS?!"

"I have a cold!" Megumi didn't like how Satoru was already developing his own dad mode, "Now where's my sister?"

"I can't find her!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND HER?!"Megumi quickly changed and wore the first shirt he could find, "I haven't seen her on campus either!"

"Where could she have gone?" Satoru groaned anxiously.

"No no no! Not again!" Megumi ran out of his room, only to run into Yuji, "Itadori! Help me find my sister!"

"Yuriko Sensei?"

"We can't find her! She's not at home!" He said to Yuji, who nodded before splitting from him to involve Kugisaki in the search mission.

"If it's that Volcano head again, I swear to god!" Satoru was still looking for her. "Yuriko???" Megumi could hear him frantically call out to her.

"If it's that curse again..." Megumi didn't want to assume the worst just yet.

"She could've been dead by now." Satoru froze in his feet. Megumi hated how Satoru said that out loud. He was thinking the same.

"FUCK!" They yelled in unison as they kept looking for her.

Yuriko was in class with the second year kids, who were almost in their third year, "so... any questions?" She asked and Maki raised her hand while eyeing her bump, "should you even be here?"

"Salmon!"

"Yeah, I don't know if you should be doing this for a while, Sensei." Panda concurred.

"Nonsense, I'm perfectly fin-"

She was cut off when the door slammed open. It was Yuji and he'd found her in class. Nobara was hot on his trail and her eyes went wide when she saw Yuriko, "oh, shit." She said.

"What is it?" Yuriko was obviously clueless.

"You're in so much trouble." Yuji said, "EVERYONE is looking for you."

"Crap." Yuriko knew she'd messed up pretty bad.

Maki rolled her eyes, knowing perfectly well that this was going to happen. Inumaki had a sad smile on his face and Panda was just there for the entertainment.

"Nesan."

Shivers ran down her spine when she heard Megumi, "yes?"

He looked haggard, tired and sick. But mostly angry. He was so angry and worried, "what the hell are you even doing here?" He finally sighed in relief. "We looked everywhere for you."

They all stopped when a dreadful aura approached the classroom. "Yeah, we're gonna just leave." Maki picked up her bag while the others agreed. She knew who it was and she didn't want to be there. But right before they all fled the scene...

"Yuriko."

This time, she couldn't even move. She didn't even want to look in the direction of the door. Her feet were glued to the ground and her eyes were on Maki who was in her seat, fully packed and ready to run the hell out of there.

Satoru had never looked so feral. He had a surge of emotions he didn't know how to handle. He remembered the conversation he had with Principal Yaga that very morning about keeping her pregnancy a secret. And here she was. In the classroom. With her students. And her bump.

"Let's go." Was all he said and she nodded, "o-okay."

He turned to look at the others, "you can't tell anyone about Yuriko, not a soul. Not even the kids in the Kyoto school. Especially not that old geezer and Utahime." His voice was stern, "understood?"

"Yes, sir!" They'd never seen him like that before. He then looked at Yuriko who just scurried out of the classroom as his eyes followed her. He couldn't say anything else, it felt like he was recovering from a heart attack.

He teleported back home with her and quietly walked to the kitchen to reheat her pasta.

"Please say something." Yuriko almost whispered, "are you... mad at me?"

He looked at her but he couldn't say a word. He gathered whatever sanity was left and finally spoke to her, "why the fuck would you do that?!"

"Do what?"

"Just disappear like that!"

"I was just... bored here."

"Of course you were."

"Satoru!"

"Do you have any idea how troublesome this is? Every single sorcerer was looking for you!" His harsh tone made her flinch, "I'm sorry."

"I thought something happened to you again! You can't do this to me, Yuriko! You can't do this to our kid." He knew it was the best time to shut up. He knew he was very worried and that he'd end up hurting her if he'd spoke anymore than he did.

"I can't have you recklessly get another one killed." He stared at the palte of hot pasta in front of him. He knew he should've just kept his mouth shut.

Yuriko's hormones were already all over the place. Her eyes wouldn't stop tearing with what he said. She took a few steps back, still in disbelief over what he said to her. She wanted to leave and go back home. She didn't want him harping about every single thing like this. With what he said this time, it couldn't get any worse.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath, instantly regretting what he said, "Yuriko..." he watched her quietly walk upstairs and into his room before closing the door. "I'm sorry." He followed her, "I really shouldn't have said that." He said from the other side of the door, "please eat, baby. You need to eat."

He wanted to warp into his room and hold her close. He knew she was hurting, and he didn't understand why he'd say something like that to her. He was barely sleeping with how much pain she'd be in all night. It was all getting to him and in the worst possible way.

"Let me bring you a knife, baby." Satoru pressed his forehead against the door, "you can stab me as many times as you wish. I deserve it."
