Satoru slept on the couch outside his room, he wouldn't leave or go to another room, in case she needed him. She wouldn't open the door for him, but felt terrible and got out of bed before succumbing to her conscience, "you can sleep here." It was his room after all, "I'll take another one."
"I'm sorry," he sat up, "I'm really, really sorry. I should've never said that."
She ignored him just fine and walked away from his room.
"Baby, I need to stay around you at all tim-"
"You're paranoid and it's not funny anymore." She finally said before stepping into another room, "you look like a zombie, go sleep in your room. Leave me alone."
"Because you know it's dangerous and it's already happened onc-"
"Because you think I'm reckless and that you're the only person who cares about this baby." She said, "have you any idea of the pain of feeling hopeless and empty inside after losing a child? Do you know what it's like to even endure this pain and lose a baby that MY body is growing? Have you ever sat on a chair with swollen feet, looking ugly in literally every single thing that you wear? Have you ever been suddenly locked inside a house and get dragged back every single time you go out? It's literally Jujutsu High and there's a barrier. I'm safer there than I am here!" She wanted to throw him out of his balcony, "I'm reckless? Find someone else for your second kid." She closed the door, "that is if I don't kill this one!"
"It's not your fault!" He was quick to apologise, "I'm so sorry. It's not your fault and I'm sorry I said that."
"But you clearly think it's my fault." She said, "that I'm responsible for-"
"No!" Satoru couldn't bear to listen to her say all that. He was beating himself up for having said that to her. She was enduring so much pain and he just had to say that. "I don't mean that. I really don't. Please open the door, we can talk about this."
She opened the door for him, it was evident that she was in pain again, "please find someone else for yourself, I can't do this anymore."
He stood by her door in shock. He kept telling himself that it's the hormones and she'd never mean it. "No" he said, "you're having my baby. You can't leave me." He'd somehow completely excluded the idea of her dumping him again. He hadn't even considered it since she was having his baby.
"Is that what you're worried about?" Her heart kept breaking with everything he said, "if it makes you feel better, you can come see your baby whenever you want to, I won't stop you. I promise."
