Thank you for being so nice to me when I'm really not at my best. You guys do deserve the best things in life. Thank you.

"I don't drink." Satoru refused to drink and Shoko rolled her eyes. They were at a bar after Satoru had an energy crash and walked out while Principal Yaga was telling him something very important about a mission. He was tired, sleepy and exhausted without getting enough sleep. He could barely sleep.

"What about a beer?"

"Nope," he said.

"You don't even get drunk." Shoko said, "Yuriko hasn't dismantled your cursed energy. Wait, when was the last time you met her?"

"Right before I met Aiko." His jaw clenched involuntarily, "I don't want to drink."

"Why are you being such a bitch?"

"I just don't want to drink." He fidgeted his fingers as he looked at his feet.

"But seriously... Aiko?" Shoko asked for 2 beers regardless. "You slept with her?"

"I'm a terrible person." He said, "that's established."

"Yep." She smiled when the beers arrived. "Let's hope she's not pregnant."

"They're opened," Satoru said as the waiter placed the bottles in front of them.

"He just opened them," Shoko eyed him.

"I don't want it," he instantly pushed it away, eyeing it like was the scariest thing in the world for him.

"Satoru!"

"What??"

"He just opened it. You like this beer."

"I don't want it!"

"What is wrong with you?!"

"I had one beer." He was panting like he'd seen a nightmare. "I..." he harshly swallowed his words, "I had one beer."

"And?" Shoko warily asked. She didn't like where this was going.

"I don't remember much." He said. "I think Yuriko came to the bar later and I kissed her? But it was Aiko... but I swear it was Yuriko. It's hazy, I don't remember. I don't know what happened after that..."

"Did you say you were with Yuriko right before that?"

"Yeah?"

"Satoru..." Shoko looked at him in horror, "YOU LITTLE SHIT-BUCKET! WERE YOU DRUGGED??!"

Yuriko looked at his piano and back at him.

"You don't like it?" He asked.

"I don't like anything here." She said, "I don't like you either."

"Oh, come on. Don't say that." He joked, but he wanted to cry instead.

"Can I go back home?"

"You're not safe there."

"Like I said..." she looked around as the kids waited by the door, "I'd rather die."

"Okay... how about I stay at the hotel right next to your place?"

"It's fine." She wasn't that heartless, "are you okay with the kids being here?"

"Of course, I am. There's plenty of space here." He leaned against the piano which held fond (and very vivid) memories. "Besides, the house feels empty since you left."
