"We need to get Satoru san out of the Prison Realm before this gets worse." She told Megumi. "We have to keep Sukuna occupied while we get him. This seems impossible."

"I'll keep an eye on him," Megumi said. "You need to leave before Sukuna gets a wind of this, I'll be right here so go get Gojo Sensei."

"MEGUMI, I CANNOT POSSIBLY LEAVE YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR Z-"

"I can handle this, he won't kill me." Megumi had made up his mind, "get out of here while he's still busy. Go find Geto Suguru and get Gojo Sensei out of the prison realm. That should be your priority."

"Goomi!"

"Please go, nobody will survive this otherwise."

She knew he was right. "Goomi, I wish I-"

"We all wish for something. Don't worry about a thing. If there's anyone who can manage this, it's you. We need you. We really do. Only you can get him out of the Prison Realm without needing Geto Suguru to open it." Megumi had lost all hope but he didn't want her to see it.

"I'll see you again, Goomi," she said with a heavy heart.

"Without a doubt." He had a sad smile on his face, "you're my sister after all."

"I love you, please be careful."

"Hurry now!" He said and she left without a second thought. Before she could change her mind.

Yuriko lost count of the number of curses she'd exorcised and absorbed. By the time she found out where Pseudo Geto was and reached his lair, the Culling Games had already begun.

"I need to find him before Tsumiki gets caught up in this!" She was sure that Megumi would also be aware of this.

"SUGURU SAN!" She saw that he was already standing tall after having defeated Yuki, facing away from her. She looked at Yuki's body, or what was remaining of it. "Please stop doing this."

She was reminded over and over again when he turned to face her that it wasn't him anymore. Kenjaku's devious smile made her blood boil. She couldn't see Mimiko and Nanako around, she couldn't feel their presence either.

"You need to stop the Culling Games."

"You moved onto my best friend. You really think Geto Suguru would ever forgive you? He probably hates you for it." Kenjaku said. "And when I finally kill you, he'll thank me for it."

Her heart shattered a million times every time he spoke. She loved him so much that it hurt her to even lay a finger on him. But she'd be doing great disservice if she didn't put him to rest. She took that responsibility upon herself.

She had to be the one to end this.

And to put an end to his misery.

He was long gone. She kept telling herself that nothing could bring him back. She remembered seeing his cold body after he died. She sat unmoving for two days in the morgue, trying to digest that he really was gone.

The emptiness inside her grew when she touched his frosty fingers for the last time. She blamed herself for not trying hard enough to stop him. She knew he wasn't coming back. Even somewhat came to terms with him.

Now she looked at his warm body and his gorgeous face. He wasn't pale anymore, like she'd see him in her dreams almost every night. She'd wished for him to come back to her ever since he died.

"Did I curse you?" She was too scared to know the answer.

"You did." He smiled. "You cursed me and now I'm back."

Her heart picked up the pace, so much that she couldn't hear anything anymore. "I'm sorry." She wholeheartedly apologised, "I'm sorry that I'm responsible for this."

"That you should be." Kenjaku knew he wouldn't be the same had she cursed Geto Suguru. He needed ways to break her.

"Which is why I'll fight you." She said, "I'm responsible for this and I'll try my best to put you to rest."

"What about Sukuna? Even if you get through me, he's impossible to deal with."

"I'll do my very best. One problem at a time."

"I taught you everything you know now. Do you really think you can fight me?" He laughed.

"Do you really think I haven't grown from then?"

"Let's find out, shall we?" He laughed even louder, "let's curse each other one last time!"

Yuriko was injured. Beyond healing. Beyond point of return.

Kenjaku was worse. He looked at her realm painted in the sky. It was so much like Sukuna's. "You can't use your reverse cursed technique, can you?"

"You can't heal yourself." His consciousness was fading.

"I'll be fine as long as I know I've done my part. I've passed the mantle a long, long time ago. They'll take care of everything." She smiled as she inched closer to his unmoving body. "No, Suguru san?" She knew Kenjaku was gone. She had him all to herself for a few minutes. She felt his hands move again, only to hand her a sword, "Yuri..." he mumbled. "Finish what you started, baby." His eyes were losing the light, "never again."

"I promise I won't let anyone use you again," she cried in his arms as he handed her the weapon. "I promise." She couldn't kill him. She thought she could but she really couldn't.

"Please do it for me," he encased the sword in her hand and wrapped his hand over hers, "you got this, baby..." he held it against his chest. "It's okay."

"NO!"

"I love you, forever and always," He had a soft smile on his face as she finally drove the weapon into his heart, screaming her lungs out as she did. Her heart couldn't take it anymore. Tears streamed down her face as she felt her heart stop with how much pain she was in.

"I love you."

When Gojo Satoru stepped out of the prison realm, he couldn't recognise anything around him. His eyes registered the disaster that befell while he wasn't around. He couldn't believe his eyes.

It was worse for him when he saw his dead best friend with a sword in his chest.

But it was even more damning for him when he saw that Yuriko had died right after she managed to undo the Prison Realm and get him out.
