"I don't know who you are or why you're here!", Megumi spitefully said, "you're dead to me."

"Megumi!", Satoru knew that wasn't warranted but Yuriko stopped him.

"What." Megumi was visibly upset, "you didn't even bother looking for me. Do you have any idea what we've been through? Tsumiki is my only sister. You shouldn't have bothered showing up now."

"Megumi, she didn't know. She had a really tough time, too." Satoru was trying to reason with him but Yuriko knew very well that if he'd inherited even 5% of their father's genes, there's no way she could logically explain it to him.

"He told me about you," Megumi was panting with how anxious he was "he told me... that you probably died. But you weren't dead. I saw you with the other kids."

"Then why didn't you come to me?" Yuriko couldn't believe her ears, "I didn't know a thing about you. You could've just reached out to me!"

"Because you had a better life! With Suguru and the other kids." She could see the anger in his eyes as he spoke, "why would you even want to see me?"

"Megumi-"

"Get out." His eyes teared, "go away, please don't come back. I don't want to see you again."

For someone who barley cared about anything, this was not was Satoru expected Megumi to react like. "You're not my sister!"

Satoru didn't know what to say. He felt terrible for Yuriko.

"I'm sorry." She'd do anything for him to even acknowledge her, "I really am, if I knew about you, I'd have come looking for you. I'm so sorry."

"I wish you really died."

*Present day*

"Sooo, Megumi will be joining us next year," Satoru awkwardly said, "are you... excited?"

"I am," she had a small frown on her face, "but I don't think he'll want to see me anytime soon. He isn't very fond of me."

"It's not your fault."

"I think it is." She looked at her feet, "oh, I should've known better. I should've tried looking. I really didn't think this would be a possibility. I should've-"

"Hey, it's alright. You're here now." He couldn't understand how she was still so soft after all that she'd been through. "It'll take a while to get through to him, but he's a good kid."

"Thank you for stepping in for me. I know I should've done better."

"I think you're doing okay." He smiled watching her fiddle her fingers.

"You think so?"

"Yes."

"Sure?"

"I promise." He chuckled "you know I'm true to my promises."

"Of course." She rolled her eyes.

"You're going on a mission with me. The higher ups want to evaluate you first", he nonchalantly said.

"Okay, what's the mission?"

"We're going to a strip club."

"A what now?" She laughed.

"We need to find someone and bring him here for interrogation, unharmed. You think you can help me out with that?"

"I'll try my best."
