"Please don't hurt the kids", Yuriko broke him out of his train of thoughts. Mostly confused ones.

"Senseiii!" The kids freaked out as they saw Geto's cursed spirits creep out of the dimension he'd opened.

"Run!" She pushed them, "HIDE!"

As chaos unfolded she had only one thought running in her mind 'do I force myself to stop him or do I just die here?' When she'd reduced her thoughts to the most simple question she could form, her answer was pretty obvious.

He looked at all the curses, thinking how disgusting they'd all taste, how many he had to absorb.

What a terrible day it was for him.

The cursed energy emitting from his body got intense by the passing minute, scaring her to the bone, sending shivers down her spine 'what massive energy!'

In a blink she was next to Geto, the palm of her hand pressing against his chest, "you can't hurt them. I'll kill you if I have to".

'She's fast.' Before he could barely comprehend how she got there so fast, he saw the cursed energy and all his cursed spirits vanish.

'What?'

His eyes intently looked at her as it dawned upon him that she'd annulled his cursed energy. "Don't even bother with close combat, you're not going to win." She removed her hand from his chest and saw the button on his shirt 'from that Jujutsu school'.

He saw the kids peek from behind different corners of the house. "Sensei?" One of them softly called.

"It's alright you can come out now" she said, still cautiously eyeing him.

"You" she asked Geto, "what's your name?"

"Geto... Suguru" he still couldn't understand how and why so many curses were there and how they were there when she could just wipe them all. More importantly, how she could cancel that amount of cursed energy.

"They're going to be late to school because of you" her cautious face soon turned into disappointment.

"School?"

"Snap out of it, you're not the first sorcerer here and I'm sure you won't be the last one to show up and threaten us." Her voice carried a hint of sadness, "I hope you're not as bad as them."

"I'm... only here to exorcise the curses" he finally spoke, "I don't want to harm you to the kids"

"But I need them." She softly said "I can't take care of 16 kids all by myself".

"I have to exorcise them" he said.

She narrowed her eyes at him, "What you will do now is help the kids go to school and fix that door you just broke".

"Huh?"

She turned towards the kids and put on the softest smile on her face, "this is Geto san. He'll help you get to school on time."

"HEHHHH??" The kids were certain that something was wrong with her.

"Sensei, stop trusting strangers like that. It's not safe, you know" Haruto scoffed. He was the oldest of the kids.

"Haruto, do you want to get kicked out of school?" She asked so nicely it scared him. "Hurry now"

Geto just watched the chaos unravel again.

"Geto san, can you please help me with my tie?" He looked down to see a small kid so hopefully look at him.

His hands involuntarily moved as he crouched to help him. "I'm Tio", he said "thank you".

"Geto saaaan!" A few others ran up to him after that and Yuriko just chuckled to herself as she walked into the kitchen to prepare their bento.

"What's your name?" She heard Geto at the door. He walked in when she didn't answer "you're holding me hostage here with the kids because you know I can't leave without exorcising these curses. It's an infestation."

When one of the kids handed her Geto's phone, he realised that they'd stolen it off him. "My phone"

"You're not getting it back for a while" she smiled at Geto, taking his phone from Tio "oh, thank you Tio! Your skills are getting better already!" She praised him as he giggled. "You're so cute. Why don't you head out and make sure everyone is ready, I'll join you soon?" She smiled wide as she patted his head.

"Okay!" Tio hopped out gleefully. Her smile dropped that instant and she turned to look at Geto whose eyes were fixed on the bento. "I'm aware that holding you hostage is of no use. Someone will be coming to get you from Jujutsu High, I know that too." She held the cloth in her hand helplessly. She knew she was no match for the Jujutsu sorcerers. "So let me ask you something. The choice is yours" she avoided eye contact at all costs.

"If you... plan on killing me, please make sure the kids are taken care of..." she looked at him "or be kind and kill all of us"

Silence ensued after she said that. Geto needed a minute to think. Everything happened so fast.

"Sensei! We have to go" the kids were really late.

"I'll take your leave then. You'll be able to use your cursed energy in a while." Her voice dropped with every word, she knew it wasn't going to work long term. She couldn't blame herself anymore than she already had.

"I'll exorcise all the curses" he said. "If I leave them be, someone else will come exorcise them, maybe even put you and the kids in danger".

She didn't know what to say.

"I can manipulate cursed spirits. I'll leave some of my cursed spirits here, they're registered so nobody will bother you." He said "but I'll need my phone".

She didn't know if she could trust him, but she had a weaker hand and not much of a choice. Geto dialled some numbers on his phone "they're all gone" he reported, "It wasn't much of a deal, I took care of it".

"Why did you-"

"I don't know" he said as he stared at his phone "don't ask me why I'm helping you because I don't. But please let me do the right thing."

"Thank you" she said as she walked away with heavy steps. "Jun..." she lied about her name. The day she ran away from Satoru was the day she vowed to never say her name again.

"Let's go" she softly told the kids as they got into her old, bulky van. She wasn't even sure if her house would still be standing by the time she got back from dropping the kids to school. She could barely afford their tuition. Geto watched her drive away and looked at the all curses "there's so many" he said to himself with a blank face "so many for me to use".

When she entered her house, she saw the last curse turn into a ball and fall into his hand. Golden orbs laid on the table as she watched Geto swallow one after another.

"That must taste awful" she said, making him stop. Nobody ever said that to him. "I'm sorry you have to do this".

He stood there like a lifeless man, looking at the disgusting orbs in his hand. "They taste like vomit"

"That's terrible", she felt sorry for him. "Have you eaten?"

He didn't answer. He resumed gulping down the orbs, to the last one, before taking a deep breath and opening his portal again. A few curses stepped out.

"They'll help you from now." He said, "if they disappear, I'll give you more"

"We'll always be grateful to you, Geto san" he watched her place on the table the cutest bento he'd ever seen.

"You seem exhausted. You must be hungry" she said.

"We can't have anyone hungry".
