"Mama..." Sayuri was out of her crib, wobbling around the house. Masamichi Yaga had fallen asleep on the couch.
She was desperately looking for her mother. She knew the exit door to her house. Her blue eyes glowed as she blew the lock with pyrokinesis and ran outside the first chance she got, only to find Megumi's emergency portal he'd kept open for easy access to Satoru's apartment and to watch over his niece.
"Mama!" She ran through the portal and realised that she was in an unfamiliar building. Lost.
"Mama!" She sat in the middle of the corridor and patiently waited for her mother to respond. Her cheeks blew in a fit, when she didn't answer, just like Satoru. She ran into the elevator at the end of the corridor with her tiny legs and sat inside until it reached the ground floor, coming face to face with a curse as soon as the doors of the elevator opened.
Sayuri was in the middle of Shibuya.
She remembered her father playing with air pistols with her to knock her toys down. The curse looked like one of her dolls and it excited her even more because this one moved.
She squealed in delight as the curse reached for her and held her hand out, pointing her index finger at the curse, "pow!" She said, a small blob of cursed energy pierced the curse's head, almost at the speed of a bullet. She tried to reach for the curse with her small hands and accidentally turned it into an amber orb.
Her eyes shone when she saw the shiny ball next to her.
"Ball!" She picked it up and ran into the streets filled with curses. She couldn't comprehend how people were being eaten by curses. She felt like she was in a video game.
