THE WIZARD [vkook]

13: early departure

Jungkook put the boxes down and pushed them behind a bush before walking off back into the city. Snow cracking under each step that he took further, it had begun to snow. And it was thickening up quickly. Seeing the people here and the sky it was most likely a snowstorm was on the way. They will have to leave as soon as possible if Zuzu wants to be able to fly up. She can not fly in a snow storm, it's too dangerous.

But one problem at a time, right now he had to find Taehyung.

With quick steps he headed towards the market section, it slowly started to get more crowded as he went on. People were all wrapping their heads with scarfs and running home to escape the storm ahead. But Jungkook didn't, he didn't have time for that. Instead he just wiped a hand over his face that was getting wet and cold from the snow and it warmed up again. He lifted his scarf a bit higher and held into it so the wind would not blow it away.

"Taehyung?!" he called out. He didn't know where to look. If he uses his powers people will know, they will think he is a witch. Jungkook doesn't want to have to hurt anyone so he kept his powers away. "wait..." He muttered and flicked his fingers, a tiny spark was seen and the spark went into a small ball not bigger than a marble. It slowly floated ahead of him, leading the way.

It went slow, meaning Taehyung was closeby.

And he was.

"ugh, so heavy. So cold! Stupid snow!" a well dressed man stood near the middle of the street kicking snow away from him and shaking out the flakes from his hair. Obviously Taehyung.

"Tae, where were you, i was worried!" Jungkook said and rushed to the other. Grabbing half of the stuff that Taehyung was struggling to carry

"Jungkook! God, I'm happy to see you. This is ridiculous! This snow won't stop falling. It's so cold it feels like I'm freezing!" The prince complained. "and this is so hard to carry. I already slipped and fell!!"

"i'm glad you're okay, why do you have so much?" the wizard asked, his worried fading away. He was really relieved nothing bad happened. It seemed Taehyung was just struggling with the weather.

"oh, i went to the shops and at the vegetable house i accidentally slipped that uhm...I was a Prince and well, they gave me extra. I should mention that again haha."

"oh really, well. I think zuzu will like an extra meal after flying over the ocean." Jungkook chuckled. "but try not to reveal that again. If you're not careful you will tell it to the wrong people and you get hurt. Not everyone is nice out there. There are a lot of bad humans, murderers, assassins and even ravagers. I don't want you to get hurt. I promised you that you would be safe with me." Jungkook said, they reached the gates and he stacked a few boxes on taehyung's tower who made a 'uhf heavy' and adjusted the weight. "don't drop it. We are going to take a different way up the mountain. I will take the weight over when we reached the edge."

"okay okay, i can do this." Taehyung said and huffed while he walked. Trying his best to hold the heavy boxes up. He made a mental note he should get stronger, life as a traveller was apparently also carrying heavy things. He should have expected that.

Slowly the snow storm was getting worse, they really should be going inside now. Which is why Jungkook was glad that they got to the edge wmof where Zuzu was hiding. "wait a moment. I will get this up and come get you" Jungkook said and also took Taehyung's boxes. With all those in his arms some strangely floating. At least...Taehyung assumed they were because it was impossible for that tower to stay up with such movements and angles.

"don't question it" Taehyung mumbled to himself and watched Jungkook jump back down. With a softer tha. Expected thud he came to the ground and extended his hand. "lets go, time to head out" Jungkook said. Smiling warmly when Taehying placed his hand into his own.

With a playful pull at the arm and snaked his arm around the price of his waist and Jumped up. He was glad with the snow covering their figures or else it would raise suspicion.

"okay, quickly get inside and warm up. I will be willing Zuzu into we are in the air. I will come inside after." the wizard ushered the human to go inside with a gentle push. But Taehyung looked at him a bit concerned "the snowstorm will get really bad. I have to get us and zuzu out of here safely. Now go inside, its gonna be fine"

"okay, please do be careful. Don't freeze"

"i won't. I can make fire remember" Jungkook chuckled and blew the prince a heart shaped fire swirl that was almost right away blown away in the wind.

"cute, okay. I will wait for you inside."

Jungkook waited for taehyung to get inside before running to the fence near Zuzu's neck.

"Zuzu, get up quickly. It's going to storm! We have to get above sea as soon as we can!" he said loudly and made a wave motion with his hand that somehow blew off the snow from under his feet. He doesn't want to accidentally slip and fall off her back.

The turtle began to move and make speed. His steps turned into Jumps, but she was struggling. It was hard for her to see where she was going in this snow and she whined for help. The snow getting into her eyes making them hurt.

"zuzu, you can do it!" Jungkook tried to encourage her but it didn't help and the mountain ended. Zuzu's feet lost ground and they fell down through the sky.  "shit!'' Jungkook closed his eyes and collected all of the energy around them. He released it all at once creating a huge wind that kept them afloat and cleared the air around them until the typhoon-like current wind stops. Which Jungkook did not let happen.

Zuzu got the hint and steadied herself, spreading her flaps and use the wind created by Jungkook to get speed, and then, they were off.

Jungkook let go of the power and fell down with a thud catching his breath. He felt exhausted, it's been way too long since he had last done such a huge release of power. It really got him out of breath. "damn, that was harder than i thought" he chuckled to himself and slowly crawled up from the snowy ground. "travel safe Zuzu, i will be inside for now"

The turtle hummed in acknowledgement  while she flew them out off the storm towards the ocean.

Taehyung's familiar home getting further and further away.
The safety of his own land will be gone soon and get replaced with an unknown nearing danger....
