5: book like a diary

Taehyung didn't see Jungkook after he disappeared like that, so he went back to the castle early, he was way too curious to see what was all in the diary. His steps in the big hall were fast, the heels of his shoes clacked an echo through the hall with every step. turning heads of everyone he passed. Probably wondering why he was in such a hurry.

Finally he had reached his room and got inside, closing the door behind him. Smiling when he saw the white glowing flower still looked high in bloom like before. it didn't change a bit.

"Okay, let's see what this is all about," Taehyung flopped down on the chair at his desk and untied the ribbon to open the book, flipping through it a bit. right away he noticed that every page was filled, there was barely space left. "this will be a long read" he chuckled and went back to page one. Where there was a sketchy drawing of an environment. A flying island in the sky, odd symbols next to the island that looked like some sort of language. Some foreign language he had never seen before. There was also a small drawing of a flower, the same flower Jungkook gave him.

so, this was the island where the flower came from? even if it was just a drawing, taehyung could imagine how it would look, was it really out there? Why has no one ever told him about such places that they exist?

Taehyung flipped to the next page and there were notes written in Jungkook's handwriting. He knew it was his because his name was literally in the book and Jungkook was the owner of the book. He had a nice handwriting, it looks elegant yet messy, like he wrote it in a hurry. yet every word was readable even in the fast writing. It was about the island,

'Tanrya, floating island in the sky. Warm climate only accessible through air travel. People spoke my language and were very welcoming. definitely coming back more often. The island is very green and inhabited by many creatures. enough plants for Zuzu to eat.'

that was the note written there. short but it said enough about the place. and... who was Zuzu? That's something Taehyung wanted to know. Was Zuzu some sort of friend or maybe a pet?

with the thought on the side, Taehyung kept flipping through the pages. There were so many unknown lands in there that Jungkook drew and wrote about. there were even people in there that he had met. But the thing that caught his eye the most right now was one of the last few pages where there was a drawing of a very familiar building. A palace that looks just like his. just a little bit different in detail.

"this is.. me?" he frowned and looked at the drawings, the boy that jungkook drew looked just like him but with longer hair. Taehyung's hair right now wasn't like that. There were two things about him written.

'Kim Taehyung, i met him but i lost him now. I have no idea where he went. I'm afraid he was killed in the war, he was not at the palace. He was not where he should be. How could I be so stupid and leave him there when I knew what was going to happen. I have to keep looking, I still have hope he is out there somewhere.

update, the war died down. His kingdom has fallen, and I found him. He was dead, killed and left on the ground. I removed the arrows from his body and gave him a proper burial on the flower mountain we used to visit. Everyone thinks I killed him and I am sentenced to eternal imprisonment, but I know I did not do it. I will fix this. I will fix my mistakes and start over. This time I will not let him die, I will fix what I did wrong. I will travel to the other side of the parallel and find him again. If they see him alive then my sentence will be removed and I get to see him again. He will not know me, but I can start over. everything is better than the image of his dead cold body there on the rocks. '

Taehyung was silent. so... this is why Jungkook knows his name. have they met before? there was a second taehyung? but how? Was it a previous life maybe? Taehyung did not understand how any of that was possible.

a war? another taehyung just like him? him dying? a parallel, what were all those things?

Jungkook was traveling and saw all those places. they have to be real, he can believe that, but.. a second taehyung?

"there is no way" he frowned and read it all again. but it had to be real. how else can jungkook draw a portrait of him and write about him if they never met before? Jungkook was obviously not from this kingdom, so he couldn't have seen him. and he was an actual magician, he was not from here, his whole appearance screamed 'outsider'. So.... was this all true?

So that is why Jungkook must really want him along on his travels. to get rid of his sentence and rebuild whatever they had back there... Taehyung doesn't remember any of that, but Jungkook wrote that he will not remember anything.

as much taehyung's brain said that this can never be real he somehow felt like it was. Taehyung was told what was real and not, things they didn't know were always fake. But jungkook was the living proof of things being possible. He literally can disappear. He brings exotic things with him. He was not lying. there is more on this world tan taehyung knows about.

And he would love to see it all. He wants to know more about who this other lookalike of him is. What was their history together? How did he die? For answers he will have to find Jungkook.

But if he will find Jungkook, that means he will go with him. and is that what he wants right now? Is he ready to leave this home and see the world?

Sorry for the break of updates, i had a lot going on in my private life and wasnt feeling well the past days. but i am slowly getting back to it now things are going better. I hope the update was enjoyable and i will see you in the next chapter! this is going to be a long adventure.
