52: confronted

The next morning Taehyung got out of bed early. Right after he woke up he rushed into his own battle wear. He felt like this was the best to wear today instead of his 'pretty boy' outfit.
Downstairs Jimin was preparing the table for them and was surprised to see him up so early.

"you're awake, that's quick"

"Yeah, I have some things I need to do," Taehyung replied. "i will just take something on hand, no need to set the table"

"ah....Alright" Jimin said and put the things back on the tray. "What is it that you need to do?"

"I am not a hundred percent sure about it but it has something to do with Jungkook."

"Tae... I don't want you to get hurt. Are you sure you should keep chasing after him..."

"i am quite sure, i am going to get to the bottom of this." Taehyung was determined to get his answers one way or another. He doesn't want to go back and live in that cold palace. He wants to go on an adventure like Jungkook. He wants to live that life, and finding out why the other changed was another step for him.

There are a few things that don't make sense and he will confront him with them. That will have to force out a reaction from Jungkook, hopefully it will get him to explain.

"please...Please be careful, don't get him angry, '' Jimin said. Again mentioning this. It reminded Taehyung of before, Jimin also said such a thing, he forgot to ask him about it.

"Why do you keep saying that?"

"It's probably not my place to tell you this. And he will get extremely mad at me if he finds out i told this but.... I think you should at least know a part of it." Jimin said and sighed. "Jungkook got problems with his powers. He killed people.....A lot of them.... And they were not by his own will. This is why i am afraid you will get hurt. He can not control it"

"Is that why he is so hesitant with his powers?" Taehyung frowned. That would make perfect sense.

"I can not say more. I told him it will stay a secret. So I can not tell you anything else. Im sorry"

"but.....Okay" The human sighed. He understood the other. He will just keep in mind what Jimin said for the future. But he can not help but wonder what the full story to that was. Who did he kill? And why?

And why did he never tell him about it...

"i will just take a sandwich and head out then" Taehyung said and began to make his own breakfast. Gulping down a glass of water too before he left the house.

Outside it was a very sunny day, not a dark cloud in sight. A very beautiful morning. He smiled at the rays of sun that hit his skin and began his walk.

Unlike other times he knew where to go this time. He found Jungkook both times in the same part of the city. In the middle row, if you would look at the map. That's where his search began. Walking from the church down to the front gates over the main road.

It was a crowded morning. Lots of carriages with supplies that headed into the city. He made sure to walk on the side to not walk in the way.

But he had to cross the road. So he checked left and right before walking over. Out of nowhere someone bumped into him making him fall down on his knees. "ow, what? '' he muttered and looked up.

It was a person, dressed in a fancy long coat with raven hair.

Jungkook.

The wizard's eyes widened for a second but he quickly turned around and walked off with fast steps.

But unfortunately for him taehyung had already seen him, and he was not letting him escape now the human chased after the wizard and shouted at him.

"Hey you, stop!'

To his surprise Jungkook actually stopped walking and turned around to face him. Again with that odd smile on his face.

"Taehyung, what do you want this time? I told you to leave" Jungkook said, his voice had a hint of annoyance this time.

"Jungkook would never say that"

"oh, but I did" the wizard chuckled.

"you're not my Jungkook. Who are you?" Taehyung asked with a frown. The floating dots in his head seemed to fit now. That strange feeling he had around him. Him not actually being Jungkook made sense in a way.

"And what makes you think that Little prince?" The raven grinned. He seemed amused by the accusation. "i am here. Real and alive"

"But you are not HIM, I don't know where you came from or what you are doing here. But tell me where my Jungkook is"

"dear i don't know what you're talking about. Don't just throw accusations at people. That is considered rude and illegal" the raven looked like he was going to leave.  "I should be go-"

"i know i am right"

The wizard's smile faded and he took a deep annoyed breath.

"tell me about Zuzu,"

"He is my pet. It takes me around the world"

"that is wrong, see i noticed that last time. You call zuzu a 'he'. She is a lady. And your best friend, and equal" taehyung was getting angry little by little. How could he not see that right away? He wasted a lot of time.

"i just misspoke there. Of course i know Zuzu is a she."

"you're lying. Well... What does she need to eat then?"

"stop asking questions about that stupid pet!" Jungkook looked frustrated. And not in a way that the jungkook he knew would.

"There is one more thing that didn't make sense. And that is how I knew" Taehyung said.

"What is it now? You're wasting my time!"

"your eyes" Taehyung said, feeling victory from this. "Your purple eye is right. The Jungkook I know hase it on his left side." the wizard fell silent at that one. He gritted his teeth but didn't say anything in return. "i know you're not Jungkook"
