THE WIZARD [vkook]

9: the first morning

After Taehyung got familiar with the house and room they had gone to bed very soon. Taehyung was told he could shower at any time he wants and anything else. To treat this like his own home.

And Taehyung did feel very comfortable like he was at home. He slept so well. He was exhausted from staying up during the night that he slept until late. Not realizing it was almost eleven in the morning already and he was still in bed.

With a big yawn he rubbed his eyes to wake himself up. Right away he noticed Jungkook wasn't in the bedroom anymore. He must have woken up early. He took a moment to freshen up in the small bathroom and get dressed. He had forgotten to bring his own soap so he used one of Jungkook's which actually smelled really nice, and the color was so unique, it was a clear rosey pink color with a sweet scent to it. it's not something taehyung had seen at his own markets. They usually sell blocks of soap back at his own kingdom. Anyway, he knows he will have a lot to learn while he travels with Jungkook.

"right, jungkook" he chuckled when he snapped from his thoughts and right away headed down stairs to look for the wizard. He was not inside the house so he must be outside. luckily it was not as big as a city so Jungkook could not have gone far.

And he didn't. When Taehyung stepped outside he could see Jungkook standing at the front of the turtle, her back staring ahead of them, watching the view of the mountains below them. It was very old out here so Taehyung hugged his coat tightly around him and walked over to the raven.

Watching him from this distance gave him time to look at him again, he was really interesting to look at. Aside from his unique clothing his appearance was unique too. His stylish styled hair with strands in his face. It was not perfect, it was loose yet neat. not like taehyung was told to wear. always having to keep it in perfect model. Today was one of the rare days he did not style his hair and just brushed through it and let it be. It felt nice to not have to follow such rules.

Anyway, in other words. Jungkook was a really attractive man-

"goodmorning Taehyung," Jungkook said and he glanced back at the boy who just woke up. Taehyung halted in his steps, feeling like a kid that was caught taking a cookie from the box without permission.

"a-ah, goodmorning"

"I did not think you would wake up this early, it was a long night for you" Jungkook looked back in front of him and waited for taehyung to come stand next to him. "how did you sleep?"

"I slept well, thank you. And you?"

"Short, but it was fine for me."

"short? did i keep you awake, i did not snore did i?"

"You barely snored sweetheart, don't worry. I am just a busy man, things on my mind that keep me awake. I have been spending my morning with Zuzu, she enjoys the company." Jungkook smiled and looked at Taehyung who now stood next to him leaning on the fence.

"I see. How can she actually keep it up to fly for so long. doesn't she get tired?"

"She does, but she can fly for around two days before she needs to rest on the ground. We will arrive at sunset today so she can rest there and I will feed her. We have to be prepared for our travel over the sea"

"the sea, what is on the other side? the nights of ours have never told me about what's there"

"really? Well, there is a big harbor there with ships as big as Zuzu, and a beautiful kingdom with a lot of green. a healthy nature filled land. I have to stock up my things there, I am running low and I know they have amazing fresh food there which I will need."

"How long have you been traveling already?"

"oh, uhm i think about two months now. at least, here in your world. I had to make sure i wasn't followed before approaching you that day"

"oh, right! I wanted to thank you for that evening. i really had a good time with you, it was a shame you had to leave so early"

"Ahw i am glad you enjoyed it. The pleasure was all mine, besides. I still owe you half a dance" Jungkook said and looked at the other with a flirty expression. leaning on the fence more.

Taehyung chuckled and blushed a little. "Yes, you do."

"Zuzu, we are going to have breakfast now. we will see you later!" Jungkook said to the turtle and the animal replied with a low hum. After that sound The wizard placed a hand on Taehyung's shoulder to take him back inside. "so, any preferences for breakfast, or are you not a picky eater?"

"no, I eat almost everything," Taehyung smiled.

"Great, then I will make breakfast for both of us. you just make yourself feel at home. I can tell you're still a bit tense."

"Of course I am, I just left home without permission" the prince laughed and shook his head. I hope they won't be mad. I left a note, but still.... I am actually quite sure they will be furious once I get back."

"you will come back with the greatest stories and life experiences of all."

"That's true, I will get to see and learn things they can only dream of. I always wanted to be a traveler. like you are, "Taehyung smiled. And the raven smiled back.

"I was not always a traveler, I used to be a caretaker for the animals, I would treat the sick and the hut before taking them back to their natural habitat. I was more of a guidance for others to come seek my help. Until the whole war happened... that is the time that i had to run and use my powers in a way i never wanted to"

"What do you mean?"

"I wanted to use my powers to help, to bring good things. but that time i had to use it to kill"

"oh..." Taehyung fell silent. He could have seen it coming, but actually hearing it felt different, knowing Jungkook has blood on his hands.

"I had done it before, and after that promised to not use it for bad things ever again, I was going to be a good wizard. So, with my love for animals I became a guardian for all nature life in my kingdom. life was great" Jungkook smiled, thinking of him and Taehyung back in his own world. a life he can never go back to. He was no longer the same man he was back then, he has changed.

"What happened that made you want to be a good wizard?"

"It's better if you don't know, '' Jungkook said and walked into the kitchen grabbing a glass of water for them.

"are-"

*clash* Jungkook dropped the glass on the ground and it shattered. "Oops, i better clean that" jungkook said and left the room without another word.
