THE WIZARD [vkook]

20: city of water

Taehyung had let out a surprised scream when they zoomed through that shard filled void. His voice stopped when they reached the end and they were basically spit out on the other side. Taehyung almost face planted onto the ground while Jungkook kept his balance. Zuzu just stepped through the gap without any disturbance. Her big size and weight was hard to push over.

"My dear Taehyung, I welcome you to The Azure Isles, my home," Jungkook said and spread his arms to the view in front of them.

Taehyung who got back on his feet gasped in awe.

This world..

It was beautiful...

The colors were so vibrant and welcoming. The plants were actually glowing like the flower Jungkook gave him! But not only that. The ground below them was so healthy and green, and water seemed to be falling from the sky down into the pond nearby them. Water that was being lit up by blue fire flies that danced around. And then even more... Above them.. There was floating land, that's where the water came from.

"Oh my, this is beautiful," Taehyung said and looked around at everything his eyes could see.

"I'm glad you like it. This is indeed a very beautiful place. Zuzu came from here. See, her nature on her back is reacting to its environment" jungkook said and they both looked at Zuzu. Her shell that had all these plants looked different. The flowers were now glowing in color and the grass danced around even with the lack of wind. As if it all came alive.

"This is amazing. Really" Taehyung smiled and walked to Jungkook who took a few steps forward. He seemed to be thinking.

"im glad there is no one waiting for us here. But let's not ask for more of our luck. We should move already. It's not good to stay in one spot for the time being." Jungkook said and he turned back around walking back to Zuzu. "Let's get into the air. I will tell you a bit more about the Azure isles."

"great!" Taehyung could see that Jungkook felt a lot of pressure. Probably because of his whole mission to get the sentence off his head and on top of that having to escort an other living beings from A to B and that wasn't even it, it seems he is being chased by people from his world that sentenced him. it might be a bit much on him. But still he refuses to show any signs of struggle.

"Zuzu, take us to the top, you know how to get there" Jungkook ordered his turtle and they went up into the air. Giving taehyung the most beautiful view on the Azure isles. The lands seemed to be indeed made out of different pieces of ground, each on a different level. Connected by waterfalls that went from one level to the lower level. Somewhere in the middle he could see a village. And the higher they got the more it was revealed that there was a whole city up on the highest island. A huge waterfall was flowing down from the center palace.

"welcome to Azure city. The best place to start your adventure. The people are very welcoming and open to visitors. We will stay here until the morning. It's currently night time here, its best to move in the daytime to where we are going."

"How is everything floating?!"

"ah, well this used to be one big floating kingdom. But it broke apart one day and this breaking caused a disturbance in its floating power making some pieces float higher than the other."

"so...That means that there is also a plain land land?" Taehyung said, looking down over the edge trying to see the bottom. But the pit below the islands was too deep to see anything well.

"There is, it's not all floating in the sky. But it's definitely not uncommon to have floating lands. Lots of the places are up in the sky. Our kind expanded their world into the sky. With the help of the land's power they made it possible. Wizards like me could alter the nature there and make them float"

"Your world sounds so interesting, I never thought any of this would be possible." Taehyung sat on the edge and held onto tightly so he wouldn't fall. But Jungkook wasn't taking any risks and stood close to taehyung placing his arm behind the prince so he would be quick if he lost balance. Even if the arm barely touched Taehyung's back, he could feel the warmth from the raven his body through the fabric.

"So you come from here?"

"Not exactly, but I did live here most of my life, so this is a place I call sort of a home. I was born somewhere else, my eyes do not match this environment. Mine is purple. These people got blue ones. just like the waters around them. But not everyone has the same eye color. some just have hazel ones or dark blue that are almost black, even here there are different kinds of people. But the general kind got all the colors that represent their home and birthplace."

"So cool, in my world we all have more natural colors like brown, green and such. like my own, I got brown ones."

"I can see that, i've studied your eyes enough to be able to give every detail"

"a-ah w-well"

"I'm just playing with you, but I did look at them closely. Anyway, we are landing soon, you should get off the fence. I don't want you to fall off her back."

"okay" taehyung turned around and took Jungkook's hand who helped him off the fence.

And so they hit the ground for the second time today. Zuzu flopped on her belly and rubbed her face in the soft green grass, glowing flower petals tat broke from her rubbing floated up around her.

"you will enjoy yourself right, don't go too far Zuzu dear. I will call you in the morning" Jungkook said and gave her a few head pats.

"She will not wait here?"

"oh nah, in our own world i just let her go wherever, i can call her with my whistle. She will come back when I call her. and it's good for her to send some tie for herself after waiting on me all those times in your world. She had been such a good friend, she deserves to finally be home and go her own way for the night"

"ahw i see, well then, see you later Zuzu" taehyung waved at the turtle and he followed Jungkook towards the castle walls. They were not even inside the city and it was already so lively here. the glowing fireflies in the sky and a group of people passing by with beautiful white robes. they were talking softly and giggling to their own stories. It looked so peaceful. And seeing these people it must be quite safe here to go outside this late. They were outside of the city protection.

"Wait a second" jungkook said and taehyung turned to him. The wizard closed his eyes and took a deep breath. As he did the area around him started to glow blue and release small blue particles that floated to the wizard and disappeared when they touched him. When Jungkook opened his eyes his purple eyes flashed right for a second and he smiled. "okay, im done"

"What was that? those glowing things??"

"Oh I was just taking the world's energy, it's like... when I do that I become a bit stronger, it powers up my abilities. But yea, it also fades over time. It's kinda hard to explain if you're not familiar with all this." Jungkook tapped his chin trying to think of an easy way to explain this while they walked into the city.

"Welcome to Azure city travelers," the guards at the entrance gates said. He wore shining silver armor with blue robes.

"thank you" jungkook greeted him back and they were inside. "Okay let's go get ourself a room to stay. the in is on the central plaza, there is a huuuge fountain on there." Jungkook spoke and as they walked he told taehyung what everything was. He was really feeling like a tour guide now. Which he was, only this was not a tour. He was simply the guide to take Taehyung safely through this world.

"bless the waters, you have got to fucking kidding me right now"

Jungkook immediately froze in his steps upon hearing that voice.

"Jeon Jungkook, The lost Wizard finally decides to show up again"
