56: those three words

Time had passed since the two escaped that cave. When Jungkook passed out Taehyung panicked. He couldn't get him to wake up and seeing the state ther raven was in he was afraid he will never wake. So he gathered his strength and carried the wozard back to the city and to the pharmacy. Jimin's dad was a doctor. He will know what to do.

That is in short how he ended up back here in their home. Sitting on a chair at the kitchen table. Anxiously staring at the white wall.

"Are you alright?" Jimin asked carefully. He was shocked to see the state taehyung returned but even more the state that Jungkook was in. To see Jungkook in general basically. He did not expect any of this.

"i am so worried.... What if he is done for? What if he is dead?!" Taehyung said with teary eyes.

"jungkook is strong, we should not as-"

"He looked horrible, Jimin...... He looked so sick....And, he used a lot of power to use his magic...To...get us out of there..." Taehyung wiped his tears away for the nth time. He was afraid that Jungkook might have used his last bit of strength to get him out of there. Away from his evil clone and then just let go of life. He really hoped that he wanted to get both of them out and he will wake again.

"....Okay...." Jimin sighed, but then they heard a door open. Jimin's father stepped into the kitchen.
Taehyung jumped up from his seat.

"First the bad or the good news?"

"good news please" Taehyung asked softly.

"The good news is that Jungkook is alive, he is awake. And... The bad news is that he is not in a good condition. I have discovered multiple wounds on him and he is very sick. I think he was beaten... Multiple times... And the lack of food and water made him weak and easily caught sickness. He needs to rest a lot if he wants to recover.... But still, there is no promise he will be able to heal. I do not know the sickness he has but the symptoms can be helped so I have given him two different medicines that should help with them."

"Thank you....Thank you" Taehyung said and bowed to the doctor.

"No need to thank me. I'm happy I could provide the help in time." Mr. Park said and smiled, patting Taehyung on the shoulder. "If you want you can go see him. He was asking about you right after he regained consciousness. He must be worried"

"i will go to him right away" the human thanked the other another time and then quickly left the kitchen. He made his way to the patient room behind the pharmacy and silently opened the door, looking inside. He didn't want to startle him.

"Taehyung?" that familiar voice said softly. Taehyung then stepped inside and closed the door behind him. Locking eyes with Jungkook, one purple left eye.

It was really his Jungkook. He found him.

"Tae....My love, are you okay. Are you hurt? Did he do anything?" Jungkook asked, worry all over his face. Af is he didnt have other things to worry about.

"I am fine. Don't worry, I am more worried about you....You just passed out..." Taehyung walked closer to the bed and sat down near Jungkook's hips so they could look at eachother better.

"sorry....I knew I was....Weak but I had to get you away from him. He was going to kill you."

"i can fight"

"i know, and you did amazing. But sweetie, that other me is even a tough match for me. You would not have won. I had nightmares about that." Jungkook sighed. He is so afraid to lose him too. "but that's behind us now. Oh Tae, I'm so happy to see you. Im so so sorry for not coming to get you."

"I'm happy to see you too, I thought I would never see you again." Taehyung said and teared up. He now fully realized that they were both here now. "I thought you didn't like me anymore.... I didn't know it was someone else"

"oh baby..... I would never not like you. You are everything to me. I love you, I would never do anything to hurt you, I love you Taehyung" Jungkook said and pulled Taehyung into a hug.

"I-i love you too. I really do" Taehyung smiled and hugged the other back. Finally he got to say these words. And even better, hear them. Can they finally just be together now. All he wants now is to get away with Jungkook so it will be just them. And then travel this whole world together.

"let me look at you." Jungkook said softly. Taehyung moved back with a small smile. Letting the raven look at him. A small sting in his heart to see the exhausted eyes of the raven and his pale skin. He still looked.... Bad. "So beautiful. A shame to see these scratches here" Jungkook gently wiped his thumb over the scratches on Taehyung's cheek.

At that moment no words need to be shared. Their eye contact was enough to draw them together and they leaned into a kiss.

This time not a goodbye kiss. But a welcoming one. One that held a chance for a future. And one filled with desperate longing. They missed each other so much.

Jungkook pulled the other closer and tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Taehyung followed and stroked his fingers through the wizard's hair and the other cupped his cheek.

After their moment they parted and laid down. Taehyung's head on Jungkook's chest, taehyung held jungkook's left hand with two hands and was not letting go anytime soon.

"I love you..." Jungkook said again.

"i love you too"

"how did you even get here?" The wizard then asked. He did not expect to see Taehyung again. And definitely not him coming to his rescue like that.

"That's... Quite a story" the other chuckled and lovingly rubbed Jungkook's hand.

"go on. We have time. I missed hearing your voice."

Taehyung smiled and his heart warmed. "okay then," and then began telling his part of the story from the beginning...
