64: lost

Jungkook had finished dinner for a few minutes already. He had called out for Taehyung earlier. But he hasn't come back inside yet.

He let out a heavy sigh and stood up, maybe he didn't hear it? Either way the food was getting cold. Taehyug should hurry or it will be less tasty.
So once more Jungkook stepped outside and called out. "Taehyung! Dinner!"

He waited this time for a reply. Maybe he was unable to come up right away? "Tae!"

"Hello?!" he frowned when he didn't get any reply at all. He closed the door behind him and walked to the edge of Zuzu, her shell looking down. The rope ladder was still out, so Taehyung didn't come back up. Yet...He didn't see him anywhere.

Zuzu was still eating slowly. Chewing on her food, the crate was still on the grass....

Something wasn't right..

Taehyung wouldn't just walk off without Letting him know. Did he see something? Maybe a new animal and followed it? He doesn't know.

"Zuzu.. Did you see Taehyung?" he asked and jumped down. With a light thud he hit the ground with his feet and began to look around.

Zuzu just hummed.

"i wish you could talk right now to tell me what you saw..." Jungkook muttered to himself, he knew that zuzu knows more than he does. She was here with him. But where did he go?

'You just came back!?' he remembered what Taehyung said earlier today. He was convinced that he had already come back once. But that wasn't true, Jungkook had been out for quite a while. He left and returned, not a second stop in between.

He frowned and thought of the other noteworthy thing.

'Yes! I saw you get into the house!'
He even claimed he saw him.

"no thats not........No.....He shouldn't" Jungkook's eyes widened at the realization that there is a possibility that his double survived his fire attack. If it was then that would mean Taehyung wasn't going crazy, that he wasn't imagined things. It would mean he was right all along and he had seen him....More than once....

"no no no....Oh no" Jungkook paced around and grabbed his hair. If it was true and his double had Taehyung, then that would break his heart. He will have failed to keep him safe.... The double would be capable of killing him without even a second thought.

He could already be dead by now!

"FUCK!!" Jungkook cursed and kicked the crate. Startling Zuzu who let out a shocked sound and stopped eating.
"sorry Zuzu '' he apologized to her. He didn't mean to scare her. "enjoy your meal, i have to go do something. I think Taehyung is in danger, and it's my fault. Stay near here. I will come find you here if I don't find my whistle, okay? Good!" he turned around and ran off to one location that the double might have gone to. Or at least where he can find a trackable trace.

Now he knows what he is trying to find, it is easier to find him. He can use the left behind magic particles in the air to follow his trail, but he will need an example to work from.

And so he ended up back at the nearby destroyed village, another huge crate that was split in two by a huge world crack. In the crater was still a faint pure glow between the sand and rocks.

Small particles that haven't left this place. He can use these to find more traces.

Jungkook carefully used his magic to absorb the particles. But when he did he could feel an overwhelming anger rising inside of him.

"he's...Strong" the Raven muttered, if these faint traces still held the same anger that was used to cast them it was no rookie wizard...

"alright... Get this out of my body, thank you " he said a little sarcastically trying to ease his own nerves by joking a little. He began to form the spell to track his target, he doesn't know if he still remembers it. So after hesitating and stopping halfway his words he finally decided on it and finished it. Hoping he didn't just mess up this spell and cause chaos.

"So far so good..." he said when he didn't see anything bad. Only a trace of purple dust showing a path. He could see the particles now. "Alright, time to head back before the spell wears off" he took off running. This location was not the point to start from he had to go from Zuzu her location. That's where he supposedly was last.

Panting Jungkook arrived back and looked around. He was hoping that this trip was for nothing, that his time spent away was for nothing. And that he would see Taehyung standing here....

But he wasn't...All he could see is a bundle of purple particles in one spot, a human shape...

"It was him..... No..." Jungkook had lost the hope of Taehyung just going for a walk and getting back home on his own.

Because he wont... And he maybe never will again....

"I will kill him" Jungkook gritted his teeth. Why would he go after Taehyung, he wanted to get Jungkook, taehyung was no part of this thing they had going on.

But completely killing him would be his last option..... The consequences of removing him from this world would be of unknown heights...... He hopes it will have no ....But he is almost certain that it will change his life forever, and he doesn't know if he can take it.....

What will happen to Taehyung? Would he still be there for him?

He might understand but....Would he accept it.....

"Tae..... I cant lose my future again, not this time. If he is still alive I will save him, no matter what.... I promised" Jungkook said and felt his eyes tear up a little. The thought of losing him again was hard.

The raven balled his fists and looked at the way the faint trace went, in the direction of the forest. He will end this, with good or bad one.
