38: lovely medic

During The flight Jungkook went to help Taehyung with the cut. Taking the human inside the cabin and making him sit on the side of the bathtub.

He slightly opened the water while Taehyung took off his shirt. A little hesitant at first. Even if they were both men that doesn't make any of the two shy to show so much skin. Even men get a little shy around others.

"don't worry i won't look at you like that. I know you will be pretty but right now all I care about is getting the cut clean. I won't look, Tae '' jungkook smiled and kept his eyes on his hands that were unfolding a cloth and the other cupped water up. "ready?"

"y-yes" Taehyung lowered his arms and relaxed. Jungkooks words earlier were quite comforting. Now he is prepared for pain.

Jungkooks hand splashed the water geny over the cut and began to rinse any dirty bacteria away. It didn't hurt as much as Taehyung thought it would. It actually wasn't bad at all.

"Does it hurt?" The wizard asked. A little concerned for the other.

"no, actually it doesn't," Taehyung smiled.

"That's good, then it shouldn't get infected. Just make sure to keep it clean and let the wound breathe after two days. We will change bandaids tomorrow morning." Jungkook spoke while gently dabbing the water off the cut and pressing a folded soft bandage on the wound. With his other, now free, hand he wrapped the bandage around his waist so the square was kept in place. "don't scratch and don't disturb it in any other way. Give it time to close itself. Its not a bad cut but it still needs to be treated with care. It will not scar if you let it rest enough."
Jungkook smiled and patted Taehyung's leg. "done."

"thank you" Taehyung smiled. He never had bandages like this before. He felt like the knights that came back from battle. They would be bandaged up a lot. But he was sure that their wounds were ten times worse than this. "now i felt this, i am ready to take anything."

"woah, there. Don't go out and get yourself hurt." the wizard was alarmed. But he playfully replied.

"i wont. I just feel like i got stronger from this. I now know what it feels when a knife hits. And I can take it, so I can take worse. Im not weak, i'm no weak child like my parents see me as.'' Taehyung saisd. "and I will be more. I will be a fighter, a traveler, anything I want. Oh boy, if they could see me now. I'd be stuck in my room for the next month." he chuckled.

"they sound strict, are all parents like that where you come from?" Jungkook asked while he put all the supplies back in the box.

"no, not at all. Every parent is different. And mine aren't bad, really. I love them a lot but they are strict with some things. I know they mean good... Eventually i will convince them"

"oh, I see... I see some parents here like that too" Jungkook said and sighed, his eyes saddened. "i wonder what my parents would have been like.....If i had had them"

"You really don't remember?"

"not a thing....Just a purple glow and this.... Sound. The last visual memory i have is when i was found by the camp members.'' Jungkook smiled again. "enough about that, lets go try and get some more memories. I have to know the truth now. There has to be something else I can see now."

"like...Right now?"

"yes, now"

"o-okay..." the prince sat back down on the side of the bath taking a few deep breaths. He did it before and it didn't hurt at all, he can do it again. "i'm ready when you are..." but still he felt nervous. What if it does hurt this time?

"Okay, okay uh....Right" Jungkook searched his pockets and took out a white empty gem. Just like the previous one they used. "Just relax like last time. It won't take long, "Jungkook said and gently brushed Taehyung's hair out of his face before he got into position. "three...Two....One..." and then he cast the spell, his fingers opening after the circular motion and the yellow aura of the memories floated into the gem.

It was just like last time, it didn't hurt. It only tickled a bit. But Taehyung didn't expect to feel so drained so suddenly. As if his whole body just shut off in a second.

"oh, no!" Jungkook was alarmed and dropped the gem while he reached out to catch Taehyung who was about to fall over. "aish, i should have made him move to the bed" He scolded himself mentaly for being too greedy. But he wasn't going to leave him here now, so he carried Taehyung to the bed and laid him down. Covering his body with the warm blanket.

Jungkook sighed seeing the bandages....

How did he not see that? How could he have let him get hurt.... He promised he'd be fine. Yet here he was, hurt.

Was Jungkook really such a bad person?.... Maybe they.....No..No he had to trust himself, he knows. He knows he didn't do it. He would have noticed.

"i didnt fucking do it" he mumbled angrily. With this frown he went back to get the gem and took place in the bedroom to use it. He wanted to keep close to the human in case something changed to him.

"Deep breaths....Calm your mind" the wizard sat cross legged and opened his arms. The gem started glowing brightly, his mind got linked to the memories it contained.

And once again Jungkook saw the same scene....

"..."

Taehyung looked at the setting sun but suddenly heard a twig cracking behind him. He turned his head around to the bushes and the forest edge behind him. He waited and looked for a long time but nothing seemed to move again.

So he assumed it was a boar or something. There are a lot of wild animals in this forest after all. And that assumption was wrong. This wrong thought made him turn around and before he could process the sound that went through the air it was already too late. An immense pain went through his chest and he clasped his torso looking down. Seeing a silver bloody arrow tip sticking from his chest.

"a-..a-ah '' he gasped for air while groaning in pain. "h-help..." His legs became weaker and weaker until he fell down. "j-jungkook.....n...No" he fell forward and it was over. He could only look through his eyes as the human figure stepped from the shadows....

He saw it from under the hood. He saw it clearly. No mistake, he recognized him.

He was...

"..."

With a heavy thud the gem fell on the floor and Jungkook looked in shock while gasping for air. Tears sprung in his face.

"I saw......myself"

Finally i finished the hardest work for my design work.I should be having some extra free time now to write faster.

Hopefully the chapter peaked more interest. Things are going to be exciting now👀
