17: he calls himself a sailor

This had to be the calmest morning Taehyung ever had. He was woken up with a soft warm breeze that blew through their curtains and the sounds of birds chirping outside their window.

With a content smile he stretched himself out and sat up. His messy hair all over the place. From their swim last night his hair was really in need of a good brush and styling. He chuckled to himself remembering that night.

Fuck, even in his memory Jungkook was attractive.

Speaking of Jungkook- oh nevermind he was right there. Sitting in front of the window with his feet up on the table, reading a book and drinking what looks like tea.

The sun hit on his face making him almost literally glow. He looked so calm and peaceful like this. But Taehyung was quite sure that there was more going on inside of the wizard than he was showing.

Suddenly Jungkook turned his head. As if he sensed the prince was looking at him. He smiled at him, "hello there, good morning. Did you sleep well?"

"I slept amazing. And you? Are you always up so early?"

"I slept fine. And yes, I wake up early a lot. I'm a very light sleeper."

Sounded like a lie.

"You look tired. Are you sure you got enough sleep? I didn't keep you awake did i? did i snore??" taehyung's eyes widened when he remembered he sometimes snores when he was deep into dreamland.

"I told you, I slept fine. and no you barely snore, don't worry about that" jungkook shut the book with a heavy flop of the pages closing and stood up abruptly. "you should get ready. my friend can arrive in the harbor any moment, and we still need to eat breakfast."

"is it that late already!? why didn't you wake me up" the prince rushed out of bed and got ready like asked.

"i didn't want to disturb your sleep, you looked like you needed it"

"o-oh. But i don't want to be holding you fro-"

"shh, stop talking. You're not a bother." The wizard said while he changed shirts and got dressed along with Taehyung.

The two freshened up, ate and were now heading to the docks where they were going to mee Jungkook's friend.

"sooo, about this friend of yours. what is he like?'' Taehyung asked and kicked a rock that came on his path. His hands were folded in front of him elegantly, a habit of being royalty that he will probably not be able to get rid of so quickly. Just like his words might come off as too polite on certain occasions. He wasn't very used to these other cultures and way of talking. But he tried to keep it as casual as he could even if it feels so odd to do.

"He is great! I met him when he was still part of your kingdom in my world. He was the captain of their fleet. an amazing captain he was, he had put places into map no one thought could be reached. His ship has gone through many battles and seas, and it shows. Yet he doesn't want to give up on his ship. So when he left he took it with him, but it's not really suited for war anymore. I think that was also a reason why he left our world. But he is a good friend. I found a way to contact him, it seems my bird can even track someone in this world. such an good pet."

"Wait, you have a bird!?" Taehyung was surprised, he does not recall seeing a bird on Jungkook's turtle home.

"yes, but he is not here right now, so you haven't met him, but you will soon!"

"Okay okay, you keep surprising me everyday. '' The prince chuckled and unconsciously went to walk closer to Jungkook that their shoulders were almost brushing against each other. It felt nice to be close to him, he felt safe. "This captain, what does he do here in my world? isn't there another one of him here? wouldn't that have any effect?"

"yes and no, there is someone like him but they are far from where he is. We are not to interfere with our copy of their life. Even if we do meet them, it will not heavily affect the world. it would just cause confusion and the risk of exposing our world to your kind. Which is what he does not need. This gate should not be found or tried to be used. if it happens unneeded deaths will be made. Anyway, speaking of him, there he is" jungkook pointed to the big wooden ship that stood at the furthest dock. its white shimmering sails rolled up and being tied by sailors. On the side stood a tall man speaking out orders, he did not see them approaching. He was wearing a dark green captain jacket with what looked like a pirate style hat and two swords hung at his balt along with a single gun. "Taehyung, meet Jung Hoseok. The Captain of the best ship there is" Jungkook said and immediately The man named hoseok turned around with a bright smile.

"Jungkook! we finally meet!" the captain jumped off his ship onto the wooden docks and shared a quick greeting with him. "And who might this be, I recognize him from somewhere.... wait. isn't this taehyung?"

"yes and no. This is Taehyung, but this is a different Taehyung, he comes from this world."

"Oh my, you look just like him. except for your eyes, and your hair is shorter. other than that, you look so alike" hoseok then extended his hand. "Jung Hoseok, captain of this beauty right there. at your service" when taehyung put his hand into hoseok's the captain bowed and greeted him like royalty.

"a-ah people shouldn't know that i am a prince" taehyung panicked a little afraid that they broke the cover jungkook tried to keep. but it didn't seem as if anyone was alarmed by this.

"Sorry, I didn't want to offend you. you're a prince after all. even if you're not mine." hoseok smiled and extended his arm. A big hawk sized bird landed on his arm, it had a lot of colors and long feathers at his tail. This was no bird from Taehyung's world. his birds do not have these bright vibrant colors... and definitely not this size. "hee is your bird back Jungkook" hoseok handed the bird to jungkook who cawed when it got to step on the wizard's arm.

"thank you, i hope he behaved himself while with you?"

"He did, he was good company and did not cause any trouble."

"That's good," Jungkook smiled and petted his bird, letting him get on his shoulder. "shall we get to it, we can chat by while we're at it"

"Of course, right this way then" hoseok turned to his ship and let his men lower the wooden plank so their guests could come on board.

thank you for reading. sorry my updates are so slow, i try to be quick but i currently have two jobs, i do not have a lot of time to write everyday anymore TT But im happy people still keep reading and are enjoying it. it really makes me happy to keep writing with excitement for you all, I really like this story and have big things planned for it. its far from over, were still only getting started! I hope you'll stick untill the end with me, its gonna be a wild but amazing journey.
