33: directions

After spending their morning time at a richly filled breakfast table with the Park family the two adventures took off to the small city nearby. Going by carriage.

Jungkook had paid the horseman a few valuable gems that the man happily accepted and they had driven off right away.

"so, that is it?" Taehyung asked while they neared the first buildings of the city. The castle walls of Ouvasta were now in the distance behind them, humans only a small spec that moved.

"yup, it's not big but it's a good place." Jungkook said and the carriage came to a slow halt in front of the first building which also was an inn with an open bar.

"this is where i will leave you two, enjoy your day and i'd be happy to be of service again. for that price i can take you further than my regulars" the horseman said and gave Jungkook a grin. He waited for the two passengers to hop off the carriage and then drove the carriage back home.

"It was fun, being on a carriage like that reminds me of my own home city. But just less..royal" the human chuckled thinking about the carriages they had at home. These small rooms with satin, gold and even gems decorating the inside and outside. This one where they just got off of was nothing compared to that. And that thought made it feel as if it was wrong..... Thinking he was always told that he should ride in these luxury things, be treated by maids and get everything done for him. He scoffed at his own thoughts. Which didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook.

"Is everything alright?" the wizard asked and stopped walking.

"Yeah, everything is good. Don't worry, I was just thinking about things." Taehyung smiled, feeling warm inside to know that Jungkook even noticed that. The raven really noticed everything that he did.

His smile grew wider and he followed Jungkook closely like a puppy, a smile on his face as he felt the butterflies while they walked.

"alright, first stop" jungkook turned a right suddenly. The human looked around confused to where the raven went off to and followed him quickly.

"how are we supposed to even find someone that knows anything?"

"just to ask everyone that might know. This inn is the best place to ask around." Jungkook pushed the door open and they got inside, it was pretty quiet in here. Not a lot of people.

The raven went to the counter of the bar and leaned on his elbows. "I need some information from you." he said and moved a green jade coin over the wood towards the owner.

"What can we help you with, sir?" the man took the coin and poured Jungkook and Taehyung a drink.

"A man, archer most likely. Probably a bit closed off. Black hair, tall figure. Wearing dark brown, or black, clothing. Ring a bell?"

The man hummed with a short nod and motioned for a specific waiter to come over. A lady around the same age as the owner stepped behind the bar and listened to the question again.

"we get multiple people here everyday, but i do remember a strange bow carrying male. Its a while back but he certainly left an impression. The lady said softly. "he had this... Bad feeling of energy around him, me and my husband didn't even dare to speak to him at first....But...Now i notice..." she squinted her eyes a little and walked closer to Jungkook. "he looked a bit like you.... But my eyes might not be so good as they used to be" the lady chuckled and then turned to the north. "the man said he was heading north. Which would lead you to Crynta, you might find some more answers there.... The man you speak of didn't stay long."

"I see, anything else you can tell me?"

"im sorry, we do not know more. This man came, bought some food and left the city. He didn't sleep here, he left during the same night"

"alright. Thank you for your help" Jungkook chugged the drink down and looked at Taehyung who sipped it slowly. "if you don't like it, I'll have it"

"a-ah, its uhm...Alright" taehyung smiled hesitantly but after another sip he sighed and handed the cup to jungkook who drank it away.

"Let's go '' the wizard said and put a gentle hand on the human's back as they went back outside. "What do you think, shall we head to Crynta and hope we can return before nightfall?"

"I will follow you, oh great wizard," Taehyung jokes. The two smiled and Jungkook wrapped an arm around the other's shoulders.

"Can you imagine? My name being everywhere as the great wizard of these lands. The person everyone comes to for aid or words from the true master Jungkook" the raven said drawing random shapes in the air with his hand. Unknowingly making Taehyung feel very overwhelmed by warm feelings.

"s-sure" taehyung said with a red blushing face.

"ahw you're all red~ was it too close?" Jungkook chuckled and nudged the other playfully. "

Taehyung only got redder and shook his head quickly.

"hmm, that's a shame. My heart is broken" Jungkook spoke like a dramatic actor and sighed.
After that the two laughed a bit shyly and continued walking through the city. One more stop at the other location and then a late night sleep. So far the search was off to a good start, better than jungkook had expected it to go.

After a bit over an hour by foot and the last bit by carriage the two arrived at Crynta. A bright blue and green colored land blending in with the green forest and lake around it. As if the city was one with the environment.

Taehyung didn't think it belonged to Ouvasta at first but it actually does, he could see the sun symbol on the flags that were here and there on a wall or a pole. The armor the knights wore was also the same. Just a different color fabric was used.

"why do they have a different color?" Taehyung asked Jungkook who was quite hard to follow since the wizard was walking so fast he was almost running.

"It's a side branch from Ouvasta, like an outpost that had grown in size. They use the colors of their closest environments to blend in from a distance. But yes, they are still one of Ouvasta kingdom. A color doesn't always mean everything, the most important is the symbol they wear."

"right, it's also like that back at my home."

"exactly" Jungkook smiled and they went once again into the inn of the city. Again doing the same routine. Only this time the inn did not provide them any clues or hints. They left back to the street empty handed. so they decided to split and ask around freely to find anyone that knew something, just anything of use. This city was bigger and there were so many people to ask.

They have to be quick if they want to safely travel back before nightfall. Jungkook rather not stick around on this side of Ouvasta during the night. It's dangerous.
