As the nurse left to fetch some bandages, Heeseung entered the room.
"Do you mind telling me what happened back there?" He asked me as the nurse left. I was reluctant to talk to him after what happened in the library, but he looked sincere and concerned.
"Sunoo, I'm sorry about what happened at the library. I was just worried about you and Sunghoon, I was worried it will lead up to... this..." Heeseung said, his voice gentle.
I took a deep breath and decided to open up to him. "I rejected Sunghoon last night," I admitted, my voice shaky.
Heeseung's eyes softened, and he pulled me into a hug. I broke down, crying and explaining everything that happened with Sunghoon. Heeseung listened patiently, offering me comfort and support.
When I finally finished my long explanation, Heeseung suggested that we go to the mall for a treat. I hesitated at first, but he assured me that it would be a good distraction.
At the sound of the class bell, Heeseung accompanied me to his car while other students watched us. We decided to go to the arcade, where we had a lot of fun, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
Later, Heeseung dropped me off at my dorm. As I hugged him in gratitude, I felt a sense of relief I hadn't felt in a while. Heeseung had been there for me, offering comfort and understanding when I needed it the most. "Thank you Heeseung, really..." I said.
After eating dinner and washing up, I lay in bed, feeling a sense of peace and comfort. Heeseung had made me feel safe and understood, and for that, I was grateful. I discovered that Heeseung had posted a picture of us in the arcade on Instagram and tagged me. I smiled at the unexpected gesture, feeling grateful for our newfound friendship. As I drifted off to sleep, I realized that sometimes, unexpected friendships could be the ones that heal us the most.
Heeseung's POV
As I entered the nurse's office, I couldn't help but notice Sunoo sitting there, his wrist being treated. He seemed hesitant to talk to me abiut what happened after our altercation in the library, and I understood why. But seeing him upset made me realize that my actions had hurt him, and I wanted to make amends.
"Sunoo, I'm sorry about what happened at the library. I was just worried about you and Sunghoon, I was worried it will lead up to... this..." I said, trying to convey my sincerity.
To my relief, Sunoo decided to open up to me. He shared what had happened with Sunghoon, and I listened attentively, putting aside any lingering anger or resentment I had felt before. Seeing him vulnerable like this made me feel protective of him, so I huggef him as he cried and explained what he's been through.
I suggested going to the mall for a treat, hoping it would help take his mind off things. Sunoo hesitated at first, but I assured him that it would be fun.
At the arcade, I watched him closely, seeing the smile on his face as he enjoyed the games. He looked carefree in that moment, and I admired how he could still find joy even in difficult times. I also took pictures of him, he posed, but sometimes it was stolen photos. He looked cute in all of em.
When I dropped him off at his dorm, I was starstruck when he hugged me out of nowhere, and thanked me.
As I arrived home, I scrolled through the pictures we had taken at the arcade. There was one where Sunoo was smiling brightly, and I decided to post it on Instagram. Not out of any aggressive or obsessive intention, but as a way to capture a happy moment between friends.
