Sunoo's POV

I was waiting in the corridor, my thoughts preoccupied with the upcoming booth festival, Heeseung has got to be a pro with these right? I mean, he should've already done some booths last school year. I was thinking of a cookie stand, or should we just do different foods? But that's too common. Kissing booth would kill me. I don't want to have a black eye doing jail booth.

As I played with the tie on my bag, a shadow fell over me, and I looked up, expecting to see Heeseung. Instead, I found myself face to face with Beomgyu. His presence sent an icy shiver down my spine, but he wore a polite smile that didn't hint at the storm brewing within him.

"Sunoo...?" Beomgyu said, his tone friendly. "We didn't really get a chance to talk earlier. How have you been?"

I offered a cautious smile, my guard still up. "O-Oh, I've been alright. Just dealing with school stuff."

Beomgyu's smile widened, but there was a strange glint in his eyes, one that made my heart race. "School stuff, huh? That sounds... quite stressful. You know, stress can really take a toll on people. It can make them do things they regret."

I furrowed my brow, puzzled by his cryptic words. "U-Uh, w-what do you mean?"

Beomgyu leaned in closer, his voice low and intense. "Sunoo, do you have any idea what Heeseung did to me?"

I blinked in surprise. Heeseung had told us about their past relationship, the painful breakup, and the subsequent bullying, but I had never heard the details from Beomgyu himself.

"Heeseung hurt me," Beomgyu continued, his voice shaking with suppressed anger. "Not just emotionally, but physically too. He made my life a living hell, and it got so bad that I had to transfer to another school just to escape him, escape the person that you think changed. But let me tell you Sunoo... Heeseung never changes."

My heart sank as the gravity of Beomgyu's words hit me. I hadn't realized the extent of the pain Heeseung had caused him, and it weighed heavily on my conscience.

"I-I'm sorry," I whispered, my voice trembling.

Beomgyu's expression twisted with a mixture of anger and bitterness. "You think that's all there is to it, Sunoo? You think a simple apology will make everything right?"

Before I could respond, Beomgyu's demeanor shifted drastically. He grabbed me by the collar of my uniform and pinned me against the wall, his eyes blazing with fury.

"I want you to understand something, Sunoo," Beomgyu hissed, his face dangerously close to mine. "If Heeseung or any of your friends dare to interfere with my life again, I won't hesitate to make them pay. Do you hear me?"

Fear surged through me and tears ran down my face as I struggled to speak. "L-Let me go!"

"BEOMGYU!" A piercing shout echoed through the halls, it was Heeseung.

Beomgyu released his grip on me, and I stumbled back, gasping for breath. Beomgyu straightened his uniform and walked away without another word, leaving me shaken and bewildered.

Heeseung came running and checked on me, "H-Hey are you okay? Did he-"

"Let's go." I didn't know what I was thinking, all I felt was tiredness and a little bit of headache from what just happened. We got into Heeseung's car, my bike on his trunk.

The drive to my dorm with Heeseung was eerily quiet, the weight of our recent encounter with Beomgyu still hanging heavily in the air. I didn't know how to broach the subject, and Heeseung seemed equally lost for words. Our friendship, once so carefree, had been strained by the darkness of our past.
