Sunoo's POV
As the afternoon unfolded, the class was finally over. I said my goodbyes to Jungwon and made my way out of the school. I went to the bicycle park to get my bicycle and hopped on it. I was already pedaling when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"S-Sunoo..." My mouth dropped when I saw it was Sunghoon. I never in my life expected Sunghoon to talk first to me, I was shocked when he did that in chat but in person, I was even dumbstruck.
"Oh Sunghoon! What brings you here?" I asked him, curious to know what he had to say to me.
"I... I wanted to apologize for how I acted in the archery class," The apology he offered for his previous behavior in the archery class touched my heart, and I appreciated his efforts to make amends.
"Sunghoon, I appreciate your apology! It means a lot to me. And it's totally fine, I get that you want to focus on your archery skills hehe" I said as I patted him on the shoulder.
"C-Can...W-w...U-Uhm...L-Let's w-walk to-together..." OMG Am I finally succeeding at breaking through his barrier? I really hope I am!
"Oh, okay! I'll just walk with the bic-" Sunghoon interrupted me.
"Actually, why don't I pedal and you can ride as a passenger?" He suggested. Of course I nodded, but I couldn't help but to think if he had a problem or something bothering him at that time.
I found myself riding my bicycle with Sunghoon, his presence catching the attention of every student we passed by. Sunghoon seemed unaffected by their attention.
As we drove around the city, we stopped by a park. I went to the swing and slide, and even the merry-go-round with some kids lol! Even if some people find it childish, I don't really care because it's so rare nowadays to go back to your childhood memories and games! I want to have fun as long as I can.
Meanwhile Sunghoon is there playing with things a little less childish like the bars, and rock grips. I found it cute when kids came watching and cheering him as he climbed to the top. I saw Sunghoon's mouth forming a smile when he saw the group of kids jumping and cheering him.
When I was still riding a pony in a spring with a kid, Sunghoon walked up to me "Let's go to the bayside next" I nodded and bid a farewell to the kids then hopped on the bicycle with Sunghoon. And down we go to the bayside.
As we sat down in the green grass, our conversations flowed naturally. Even though he was throwing stones, I still felt being listened to, so I continued opening up to Sunghoon, sharing my thoughts, dreams, and even my fears. It felt like we had known each other for much longer than just a few days. I felt a tear stream down my right eye so I immediately wiped it off just as Sunghoon turned and sat beside me.
"I really don't like telling others about my fears and weaknesses, I don't want them to see me as a frail boy. The only people I tell about my flaws are people who I think I can trust." Sunghoon told me as he looked at the sun setting at the other side of the bay.
"Well that's okay, you don't have to share it with me." I told him, hoping to comfort him.
"But I just told you one, idiot" Sunghoon scoffed and I realized what he meant, that one of his flaws was being scared to open up with people, but for some reason he shared a flaw with me, does that mean he trusts me...? If that's the case, I didn't expect to gain the trust of a person colder than ice in just a span of three days... Then suddenly, Sunghoon stood up.
"Come on, it's getting late, I'll take you home." I followed him and hopped once again on the bicycle.
As I was pointing directions to my dorm, I realized that maybe he'll leave the bicycle there. "You can borrow my bicycle to ride home! I'll just take a cab tom-"
