Sunoo's POV
"Sunoo... I- I still love you..."
"J-Jake...?"
"I love you so much."
"I love you t-"
"But you love Niki more... don't you?"
"W-Wha-"
"YOU LOVE HIM MORE! ADMIT IT!"
"JAKE I DON'T-"
"YOI FUCKING LOVE HIM MORE!"
AGH! I woke up from a nightmare, my heart pounding in my chest. It was about... Jake.
"Hey!"
"AGH! Wha- Jay? Y-You... You stayed..." I exclaimed as Jay opened the bedroom door.
"Of course the fuck. You good? I heard you whimpering in your sleep like a fuckin child." Jay said.
I nodded, still feeling a bit shaken. Jay could always read me like a book. "Yeah I'm okay... I just had a bad dream about... uh... Jake," I admitted.
Jay's expression softened, he sat beside me on the bed and he placed his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry. He's not worth your tears." He said as he scoffed and ruffled my hair.
He then surprised me by saying he had prepared breakfast for us - jjolmyeon. As I walked out the door, I was greeted by the heaven scent of the dish he prepared.
"Get dressed later, we're going to the mall." Jay said. But I wasn't feeling going there.
"I-I don't want to, I just want to lay on my bed. Plus, it's Sunday, it will be crowded there." I insisted. But despite my resistance to going out, Jay insisted we go to the mall to have some fun. He was being strict, and honestly, it scared me a little, so I ended up agreeing to go with him and we rode our bicycles. I also let him borrow an oversized t-shirt and black jogger pants.
At the mall, Jay pulled me to the arcade. Jay managed to win a fox plushie from the claw machine, and it made me happy because it was cute, and seeing me happy made him smile too. We played different games, I watched him score so many points on the basketball game and we also played on the two-player gun shooting. After some time, Jay suggested we go to the karaoke section.
He went first, picking a song, and entering the number. It was "Back to Me" by Rose.
"~I can make you mad, I can make you scream. I can make you cry, I can make you leave. I can make you hate me for everything. But I can't make you come back to me!~" He screamed at the top of his lungs but he still sounded so good. He even added a funny guitar pose at the end as he was kneeling down. It made me burst out laughing.
When it was my turn, I picked...
Oh...
"Back to December" by Taylor Swift, a song that seemed to resonate with my feelings.
"~So this is me swallowin' my pride, standin' in front of you sayin' I'm sorry for that night. And I go back to December all the time. It turns out freedom ain't nothin' but missin' you, wishin' I'd realized *sniff* what I had when you were mine. I'd go back to December, turn around *sniff* and make it alright, I go back *sniff* to December all the time~"
But as I sang, the emotions overwhelmed me, and I broke down, unable to hold back my tears. Jay came to my side immediately, wrapping his arms around me and offering his support and comfort.
"Hey hey hey, come on now, it's okay, Sunoo. Let it all out," Jay said gently, holding me close. "Ah, why did you pick such a sad song, you should've picked something else." He scolded me which made me chuckle a bit.
