Sunoo's POV

As the hotel elevator chimed softly on the ninth floor, I followed Sunghoon down a lavishly decorated hallway. "This is so fancy," I muttered, my eyes wide as I took in the opulence around me.

Sunghoon led me to the only room on the 9th floor, with a single door welcoming us. "Welcome to the VIP area," he announced proudly, and my curiosity skyrocketed. Why was there only one room on this floor?

"Only one room? Why's that?" I inquired as Sunghoon opened the door to reveal a spacious living area.

He explained, "VIPs get their own dedicated space."

The living room was a dream, bigger than my entire dorm. A colossal TV hung on the wall, bigger than the windows of my tiny apartment. A grand fireplace sat opposite a plush, modern fluffy couch, and a glass table. My eyes wandered, trying to absorb the sheer extravagance. "This is...wow," I stammered.

"This TV is bigger than the windows in my house," I joked.

Sunghoon playfully responded, "Well, now we have more space for cuddling, I thought you might like it. And there's more."

He led me to a modern kitchen, sleek and sparkling. "I can't believe this," I marveled, running my fingers over the smooth granite countertop. I checked the fridge that is even bigger than my door, it already had some food there.

"And the bedroom," Sunghoon said, opening a door to reveal a spacious retreat, adorned with rich fabrics and elegant decor. "Do you like it?"

"I- Uh... it's like stepping into a palace," I confessed, flopping onto the plush bed.

Sunghoon grinned, "Perfect, right?"

I couldn't help but laugh, "More than perfect! But why all of this for a kidney donation?"

"This is all for us, a gift for surviving this hell of a year," he winked. "Now, let's explore more."

We wandered through a bathroom with a lavish bathtub, a dressing room larger than my closet at home, and a balcony with a breathtaking city view. "Sunghoon, this is so nice," I admitted, still absorbing the extravagance.

"Glad you like it, I really wanted to make this day unforgettable for both of us." he replied.

As we continued exploring, the allure of the luxurious surroundings intertwined with Sunghoon's company, creating a moment I knew I'd cherish forever.

Niki's POV

As I pedaled away from the hotel, tears streamed down my face, blurring the scenery around me. Reality hit me hard, I was just a fool for expecting something more when I knew that Sunoo and Sunghoon were already together, deeply in love. My heart ached, and I couldn't help but call myself dumb repeatedly. What did I think would happen?

"Why did I even think this would work? Maybe I should just accept that I'm aromantic," I muttered bitterly to myself, the words a feeble attempt to find humor in my own heartache.

"Such an idiot," I muttered under my breath, my voice barely audible over the rhythmic whirring of my bike tires. The irony wasn't lost on me as I joked about staying aromantic. A bitter laugh escaped my lips, mixing with the soft evening breeze.

Just then, my phone buzzed, interrupting my self-deprecating thoughts. It was Konon. I hesitated before answering, taking a moment to compose myself. "Hey," I greeted, attempting to sound casual despite the lump forming in my throat.

"Hey, how did the confession go?" Konon asked, a genuine concern in her voice. I swallowed hard, the lie forming effortlessly on my tongue. "Oh, it went well. Sunoo rejected me, but we'll still be friends," I replied, a practiced nonchalance in my tone.
