Sunoo's POV

As I followed Sunghoon down the dark and narrow staircase into the basement, my nervousness grew. The dim light made it difficult to see, and the shadows seemed to dance around us. When we reached the bottom, I was relieved to see Sunghoon flick a switch, illuminating the space.

My eyes widened in astonishment as I took in the collection of girl-related items that filled the basement. There were jewelry boxes, notebooks, colorful pens, and even hoodies that appeared to belong to a girl, maybe Wonyoung. I couldn't help but wonder how all these things ended up here.

But what caught my attention the most was a framed photograph placed atop a dusty box. I approached it and, with a swipe of my hand, cleared away the accumulated grime. The image revealed Sunghoon with a happy expression, while a somewhat awkward Wonyoung stood beside him.

Sunghoon sighed, his gaze fixed on the framed photograph. "This basement is where I kept everything related to Wonyoung... It's a reminder of the time I spent chasing her. Also a reminder how fucking dumb I was."

My heart sank as I realized the significance of this collection. It was a shrine to Sunghoon's unrequited love for Wonyoung, a reminder of his past obsessions. I could only imagine how difficult it must have been for him.

Sunghoon's voice trembled as he continued, "I kept all these things, thinking that it would help me forget, but it never did. I wanted to show you because I'm ready to let go of the past and move forward."

I gazed at him with a newfound understanding, recognizing the immense weight he had been carrying. Our journey together had taken an unexpected turn into this secret basement, revealing a side of Sunghoon I had never known.

I reached out and took his hand, reassuring him, "We'll find a way to help you let go, Sunghoon. We'll face it together, just like we promised. Do you have any idea how to get rid of these things?"

Sunghoon looked into my eyes, his expression determined but apprehensive. "I've thought of two ways, Sunoo. One, we can... burn all these things, erase them from my life forever. Or two, the more challenging way, give them back to Wonyoung."

I held Sunghoon's hands tightly, our eyes locked in a shared understanding. I asked the question that had been lingering in the back of my mind, "I'll be speaking to you honestly, if we choose the second option and return these things to Wonyoung, are you willing to face whatever might come? It could mean expulsion from school, scandals, and more."

Sunghoon's grip on my hand tightened, his expression unwavering. He met my eyes with determination. "No, I'm not ready to face all of that, but I'm willing to do it to end all of this. I can't carry this burden any longer, and I want to be honest with her, even if it means facing the consequences."

His resolute response left me both worried and proud. We were venturing into uncharted territory, and I knew that the path ahead wouldn't be easy. But we had come this far together, and we would face whatever challenges lay ahead as a team.

I nodded, letting him know that I supported his decision. "Alright, Sunghoon, we'll return these things to Wonyoung. We'll face it together, and no matter what happens, we'll be there for each other, okay?"

Sunghoon smiled, gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, really. You have no idea how much this means to me."

We spent the rest of the day planning our approach, trying to figure out how to return the belongings discreetly without causing a major scene at school. We knew that it was the right thing to do, despite the challenges we would face.

Heeseung's POV

I made my way with Joonho by my side to Jake's room. Joonho glanced at my crutches which I was only carrying and he couldn't help but tease me, "You're not using the crutches, but don't tell me it's because you don't want to look weak in front of Jake."
