Chapter 47 | S1: Problems

Sunoo's POV

I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock and stretched my limbs, feeling slightly disoriented. As I got up, I noticed Niki still sleeping peacefully beside me. The events of last night replayed in my mind.

After having breakfast together, I let Niki borrow my uniform, and we headed to school. During lunch break, I gathered all our friends together, Garam, Chaewon, Yunjin, Eunchae, Kazuha, Heeseung, Jay, Jungwon who just got out of the hospital, Sunghoon, and of course, Niki. I led them to the study place.

But, I noticed that Jake was absent from our little gathering. I sent him a text. I felt a sense of worry, but I pushed it aside for the moment, focusing on Niki's story.

"Niki, are you sure you want to talk about this?" I asked gently, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

He took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, I think it's time you all know." He said.

Niki then started talking "This is nothing important but, ya'll are my friends now so, I feel like you should know... I-I had cirrhosis before, but the doctor just told me yesterday that... I've recovered from it."

Gasps and concerned looks spread across the faces of our friends, and I could see that they were all worried about Niki's health.

"Congrats dude, but why did you have cirrhosis in the first place? I-It's okay if you don't want to share, no pressure bro." Yunjin asked, her voice filled with concern.

Niki hesitated for a moment before answering, "It was because of my ex-girlfriend, Haeun. She's from Japan, and we were in a long-distance relationship. But when I came to Korea, she... uh... cheated on me."

There was a collective gasp from everyone, and I could see how much this revelation was affecting Niki. I wanted to reach out and comfort him, but I also knew that he needed to get this off his chest.
