Chapter 36 | S1: Munching And Mingling

Jay's POV

I woke up on a peaceful Sunday morning in my dorm, greeted by the sight of our maids cleaning and mom and dad having a conversation in the living room. So, I decided to cook breakfast for them.

"Good morning, Mom, Dad," I greeted them with a smile. "I'll whip up something delicious for you."

After preparing breakfast and enjoying the meal together, I cleaned up the kitchen and got ready to head out. Sunoo texted me about visiting Jungwon, but I couldn't join immediately as I had plans with someone.

The doorbell rang, and I opened it to find Seunghee, looking beautiful as always. We had a special connection or whatever you call it, and we were about to go on a date. I drove us to the mall, and we spent time shopping together.

"Jay, you really don't have to buy me all this stuff," Seunghee said, trying to protest as I paid for our purchases. "But thank you, you're really sweet."

"Consider this as my love language" I said jokingly.

After shopping, Seunghee and I went in a coffee shop as she suggested, a warm atmosphere enveloping us. Her smile was radiant, and her eyes sparkled as we sipped our drinks.

"So, how's your day been so far?" Seunghee asked, her voice soft and melodic.

"Amazing, now that I'm with you," I replied with a playful grin. "But really, it's been good. I cooked breakfast for my parents, and we had a wonderful time together."

"That's so sweet of you, Jay," she said, reaching out to hold my hand briefly. "You're such a caring person, and your family is lucky to have you. And also... your future partner is going to be so lucky to be with you."

I blushed slightly at her words, feeling touched by her genuine appreciation. "Thank you. You're pretty amazing yourself. I always have a fantastic time when I'm with you. But don't you think, you're going to be that lucky future partner hm?"

She smiled warmly, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. "We'll see." Seunghee giggled softly, and I couldn't help but be captivated by the sound. "I feel so comfortable around you, Jay. It's like... I can be completely myself."

"That's because you can be," I reassured her. "You don't have to put on any masks or pretend with me. I like you just the way you are."

Her eyes softened, and she leaned in a bit closer. "And I like you just the way you are too, young man. You're genuine, caring, and you always know how to make me smile."

I couldn't stop myself from smiling and scoffing at her words. Seunghee's hand found mine again, and she gave it a gentle squeeze. "Jay, I had a really wonderful time today. I'd love to do this again sometime."
