Sunghoon's POV

The bombshell I dropped seemed to have hit my future in-laws like a ton of bricks. Their eyes widened, jaws dropping as if they were characters in a soap opera. It was a sight to behold, but I knew I had to explain myself.

Sunoo's dad, still processing the information, repeated my words with a raised eyebrow. "You want to live with Sunoo? Separately?"

"Uh, yes sir," I replied, reaffirming my request. "I was thinking it might be more convenient for Sunoo and me to live together. I believe it's the next step for us. I've put a lot of thought into it. I've already bought a hotel apartment near the lakeside, the payment lasts for 5 years, and I thought it would be a good idea."

Sunoo and Soohee almost spat out their food when they heard about the house.

Sunoo, recovering from the initial surprise, raised a skeptical eyebrow and whispered underneath hus breath, "Y-You've already bought an apartment? W-What if things don't work out...?"

I chuckled, understanding his concern. "Well, that's up to your parents to decide."

Sunoo's mom then asked the crucial question, "When do you plan to move in together?"

I felt the weight of their collective gaze and knew my answer would be pivotal. "After... graduation. I've already arranged everything, but of course, it depends on your comfort level with the idea."

After a long awkward silence that slowly killed me inside, Sunoo's dad, a knowing smile forming, said, "Well, Sunghoon, you've been a good man, and we can see you genuinely care for Sunoo. If you think living together is the right move, we trust you to take care of our son."

His words brought a wave of relief, and I couldn't help but crack a smile. "O-O- I- T-Thank you, sir. I-I promise to do my best to make Sunoo happy."

Sunoo's mom chimed in, her stern expression softening. "Yes, we've seen how much Sunoo means to you. If this is what you both want, we'll support your decision."

Turning my attention to Sunoo's sister, Soohee, I awaited her response. She hesitated for a moment before stammering out a reluctant "O-Oh... Y-Yes, of course."

The collective agreement felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I was genuinely grateful for their understanding and approval. The future was uncertain, but I was ready to embark on this new chapter with Sunoo, no matter where it led.

We resumed our meal, enjoying the exquisite dishes while discussing plans for the near future. The unexpected turn of events had brought us closer, and I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and understanding family to be a part of.

The car ride home was enveloped in a mysterious aura, filled with hushed conversations that seemed to be discussing something important.

As I glanced at Sunoo, his radiant smile reassured me that whatever was being discussed within the confines of the family wasn't causing any distress.

Arriving at Sunoo's house, I dropped off Sunoo's family, Sunoo stayed with me in the car. I idled for a moment, still processing the family's clandestine exchange. However, my contemplation was cut short as Sunoo seized the opportunity.

The moment his family entered the house and disappeared from view, Sunoo pounced on me.

With a mischievous gleam in his eyes, he turned towards me, "Now that everyone's gone," Sunoo declared, his voice teasing, "you're in big trouble, mister."

I chuckled, playing the innocent card. "Trouble? What did I do?"

Before I could grasp the situation, Sunoo lunged at me, initiating a passionate kiss. I reciprocated eagerly, the warmth of the moment washing over us. As we parted, Sunoo couldn't resist teasing me.
