Chapter #36 Scarlett POV After enjoying the bath together we got out and got dressed. I walked over to the twins room as Louri went to go check on Devon. As I walk into the girls room I see that Maya is awake so I gently pick her up from her crib and get her on the changing table to change her diaper and get her dressed. It's going to be a warm day today so I opt to just have the girls in onesies. I open their dresser and see these two cute onesies that I’m pretty sure Greg had gotten the girls. One is pink that says “my uncle is a God you must bow before him” and the other one is pink as well and says “you mess with me you mess with my uncle and you don’t want to mess with him”. I laugh reading both and definitely know they’re from Greg. Shaking my head slightly I put one on Maya and lay her back in her crib as I notice that Louisa has also woken up. I get her changed as well and bring both the girls downstairs into the kitchen placing them in their high chairs. Louri walks down a few minutes later with Devon matching her outfit of jeans and a white tshirt with his little plastic hard hat on. He looks so adorable. “Baby did you see the onesies Greg got the girls?” I ask her. She walks over and looks at the girls onesies and bursts out laughing. “Yep, they’re from Greg alright” she says while taking a quick photo on her phone of the girls. She walks over to the kitchen table and grabs the blueprint for the kitchen and brings it over to me rolling it open.

Louri POV “So starting off we are going to open up the kitchen more, we’re going to knock down that wall over there since it’s not load bearing and we are going to put an L-shaped island with chairs in with the kitchen sink on that end” I point in the general direction while telling Scarlett. “Then in the middle we will put a smaller island with storage cabinet space underneath for pots and pans. We are going to put new cabinets in and new appliances and light fixtures” I finish up telling her looking at her. “It sounds amazing, you definitely took into consideration everything I wanted” she says in response as I nod. “Of course babe, I want this to be your dream kitchen. This is going to be our home for a long time. And don’t worry we will do everything in sections so that way we can still utilize the kitchen during the remodel and I will also be putting up baby gates so that Devon and the girls can't get in without one of us being around” I tell her. She smiles up at me and wraps her arms around my neck giving me a kiss on the lips. “Thank you for doing this and thinking of everything.” She says to me with a big smile. “You’re welcome babe, I know Greg and I are going to love this project” I tell her, holding her close to me.
There’s a knock at the front door indicating Greg has arrived. “I’ll go let him in” I tell Scarlett, giving her one more quick kiss before walking to the front door and opening it. “Good morning Lor, are you ready to get on with this project” Greg says while walking in. “Good morning Greggy and yes I am. We just need to finish the electrical work in the workshop before we head out to Home Depot to grab our supplies” I tell him as I close the front door. “Sounds good” he replies as he walks into the kitchen greeting Scarlett. “You should see what the girls are wearing,” Scarlett tells him. He walks over to the girls in their high chairs and laughs. “Yes! You found the onesies! They look great!” He exclaims as he takes pictures on his phone. “They are so adorable”. He says while looking at Scarlett and I. “Hey! What about me?” Devon asks his uncle. Greg turns to him and smiles. “You look great too in your hard hat. Are you going to come with Mama and I to the store?” He asks getting down to his level. “Yes! Can I mama and mommy?” He asks both of us. “Of course you can little Marine” I say with a big smile on my face seeing how excited he gets over the little things. “Well I’m going to get started on breakfast so you guys will have something in your stomachs before you start tearing things down” Scarlett tells us and she heads to the fridge. “Sounds good babe, we are going to head out back to the workshop to finish up the electrical work. Call out to us when it’s ready please” I tell her as she nods. Greg, Devon and I head out back and walk into the workshop, luckily I remembered to wipe down the countertop after Scarlett’s and I little moment earlier this morning. Greg and I start connecting the wires into the fixtures as I had Devon making his own blueprint so that he was occupied. Once we got all the fixtures in, I walk over to the breaker box and flip the switch and see the lights come on. “Perfect, now the space is lit up and we will be able to see everything” Greg says as I nod. “I think we will have to start off with the demolition of the wall in the kitchen so that way we can open up the space.” I tell him while thinking out loud. “I agree, we will have to get a dumpster for the drywall” he mentions. As he states that Scarlett opens the back door to let us know that breakfast is ready. “Well let’s go eat and then we will discuss the next steps” I tell him while picking Devon up and walking inside to get started on breakfast.
