Scarlett’s POV
“So are you still wanting me to come over for dinner?” Alan asks as we talk on the phone.
“Yes please, she and Devon will love it.” I tell him.
“Wait isn’t Devon 5?” He asks.
Yes but we don’t let him watch past season 3.” I tell him
“Oh good I get worried when I hear that kids watch it at that young an age.” He says.
“Oh he’s been watching since the day we brought him home from the hospital.” I tell him.
“Really? Who’s his favorite?” He asks.
“Hawkeye.” I tell him.
“Then he’s going to like what I’ve got for him.” He says.
“What?” I ask.
“My straw hat and I’m giving Louri the robe and you got something from Jamie. I remembered you said Klinger was your favorite.” He says.
“Alan, you didn’t have to do that.” I say.
“I know but I wanted to.” He says.
“And dress casually Louri doesn’t know anyone is coming over.” I tell him.
“Got it. I’ll see you in two hours.” He says.
“See you soon.” I tell him before hanging up.
I walk into the living room and Louri is wearing one of her shirts that has her unit’s number on it perfect. “Mommy we are watching M*A*S*H you should join us.” Devon says. “Ok I can do that.” I say sitting on the other side of Louri and she wraps her arm around me. “Who were you talking to?” She asks. “One of my cast members.” I tell her she doesn’t know I’m working with Alan Alda yet. “Cool oh here comes five o’clock Charlie.” She says. “He always misses.” Devon giggles. “Ok I’m going to start dinner.” I say after a few episodes. “Ok.” Louri says letting me go reluctantly. “Wait, where's my kiss?” She pouts and I kiss her pout away.
Louri’s POV
“Mama Hawkeye is just like you. He saves people.” Devon says. “Yes he does.” I respond. After a few episodes the doorbell rings. Huh I didn’t think we were having guests? “Louri, can you get that? And Devon come help me set the table.” Scarlett calls out. I walk to the door and when I open it I freeze. “You must be Colonel Louri Evans.” ALAN FUCKING ALDA says. “I uh yeah that’s me. Please come in.” I stutter and let him in. “SCARLETT ALAN FUCKING ALDA IS HERE!” I squeal like a child. “Wow she told me you were a fan but I didn’t expect this.” He laughs. “Wait what?” I say. “Honey, meet my co-star.” Scarlett says coming around the corner with Devon. “IT’S HAWKEYE!!!” Devon squeals just like I did earlier. “Yep that’s me and you must be Devon.” He says. “Mama, Mommy Hawkeye knows who I am!” He says excitedly. “That’s cause I told him about you.” Scarlett says as Devon comes right in front of Alan. “I love your show Mr. Alda.” Devon says politely. “So I’ve been told I have something for you.” He says pulling out the famous straw cowboy hat from the show from a bag I didn’t notice he had a bag I was too busy being star  struck. “For me?” Devon asks. “Yep for you. And Colonel this is for you.” He says handing me THE robe with M*A*S*H 4077 on the pocket. “Oh my god Mr. Alda I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much.” I say. “You're welcome. Scarlett, this is from Jamie.” He says holding up the nurse cloak Kinger wears when he is in his nurse outfit. “Holy fuck.” Scarlett says. “Mommy, that's a bad word.” Devon scolds already wearing the hat which is too big for him, which is even cuter. “Now come on everyone, dinner is ready. I just realized I’m wearing my unit’s shirt and I go red. “Scarlett, I'm wearing my unit’s shirt.” I say. “I like it, Colonel.” He says. “Please call me Louri.” I tell him. “Call me Alan.” He smiles. “Oh my god I’m having dinner with the man that is the reason I became a medic.” I say excitedly. “You became a medic because of me?” Alan asks, shocked. “Yes I watched M*A*S*H when I was a kid and I didn’t want to be a surgeon I didn’t want to be cutting into people but I wanted to help the people that would be in my unit so I trained to be a medic.” I tell him. “Wow I’m honored Louri that you like Hawkeye that much.” He says. “How can you not like Hawkeye, he's awesome.” I say and yes I am wearing the robe Scarlett went to hang up the cloak and got the twins. We had a wonderful dinner. “Alan would it be too much if I asked you to sing my M*A*S*H poster? It’s in my office.” I ask. “I’d love to.” He says. “You go I’ll take care of the dishes.” Scarlett says. We go into my office and I notice something hanging on the wall next to my other medals. That wasn’t there when we left for Germany. I’ve wanted to frame it and put it up but I couldn’t bring myself to touch it. “Is that what I think it is?” Alan asks, pointing to my Congressional Medal of Honor I got for sacrificing myself for those fifty Marines. “It’s Mama’s super special medal.” Devon says. After he signs the poster he stays for another hour because Devon begged him to watch the first two episodes of the series and just like me Alan couldn’t say no. After Alan leaves Devon starts to crash. I put him to bed and Scarlett puts the twins to bed. Scarlett get ready for bed and she lays right on top of me as usual. “Thank you.” I say. “Alan wanted to meet you and I thought it would be a nice surprise.” She says, looking at me. “It was amazing but I was thanking you for something else.” I say and her brows furrow in confusion. “What are you talking about?” She asks. “Thank you for framing it for me.” I tell her and I see it click in her eyes. “I knew you wanted to hang it but I saw the pain in your eyes just touching it and when it was given to you. I didn’t want you to feel pain hanging it so I hung it last week. I thought it would be a nice surprise when we moved back here.” She says. “I really appreciate it, Baby. And meeting Alan fucking Alda I mean holy shit.” I say. “I’m glad you enjoyed meeting him. I didn’t think you would squeal like a child though.” Scarlett laughs. “Oh hush it.” I say going red. “Honey, your face is redder than my name.” She says. “Oh whatever. Look what’s hanging on the hook on the bathroom door, it's THE robe from the show.” I say. “I mean yeah I’m not part of a M*A*S*H unit but my unit is the 4077th.” I tell her. “Can you remind me what M*A*S*H stands for?” Scarlett asks. “Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.” I tell her and her eyes widen. “They actually perform surgery there!?” She asks, shocked. “Yeah.” I tell her. “That’s kinda badass.” She says. “Oh it is. I’ve seen them in action and they are fucking amazing.” I tell her. “So as a medic you’ve brought people to the M*A*S*H’s?” She asks. “Yep and I am alive thanks to those doctors.” I tell her. “How can I thank them?” She asks. “Uh I don’t know, let me call my friend Amy Harper. She’s the doctor that helped me.” I tell her, reaching for my phone. “Can you put it on speaker?” She asks. “Yeah.” I say.
“Louri Dollese Evans-Johansson I swear to god if you are calling me because you got hurt again I’ll kill you.” Amy says, answering the phone.
“Hello to you too. And I’m fine Scarlett has a question for you. You’re on speaker.” I say.
“Oh uh um er Hi Mrs. Colonel Evans.” She says and Scarlett smiles at the name.
“Please just call me Scarlett. I wanted to know what I can do to thank you and the others working at the M*A*S*H you work at.” Scarlett says.
“Blood donations.” Amy says quickly.
“Ok I will have the whole MARVEL cast donate. Anything else?” Scarlett asks.
“Um, funding but I don’t want to use Louri’s wife for money.” Amy says.
“You aren’t, I’m offering. What do you need funding for?” Scarlett asks.
“Equipment.” Amy says shyly.
“Ok thank you and where are you living right now?” Scarlett asks.
“Camp Mason, why?” She asks.
“Look out in the mail for some flowers as a thank you for saving Louri.” Scarlett says I thought I couldn’t love this woman anymore than I do but she just proved me wrong. I feel like my heart is going to explode with love.
“Louri’s my friend you don’t have to thank me.” Amy says humbly.
“Yes I do. Now what is your favorite flower?” Scarlett asks.
“I like dahlias.” Amy says.
“Ok I will send an assortment of dahlias then.” Scarlett says.
“Thank you Scarlett.” Amy says.
“Good night Amy.” I tell her.
“Good night you two.” Amy says before hanging up.
“Honey you really don’t have to do all this.” I say as she types away on her phone. “Too late I already texted the group chat.” She says.

Scarlett(Louri’s Koala🐨): No it’s a way of saying thank you since they are the ones that saved Louri everytime she was hurt.

“Holy shit Scarlett even Mark is going to do it and he hates needles.” I say. “They love you and they know what your unit means to you.” Scarlett says putting her phone away and I do the same. “Now let’s get some sleep I’m exhausted.” I tell her. “Me too. Good night Marine.” She says. “Good night Love.” I say kissing her head as she snuggles into me and we soon drift off to sleep.
