Chapter #61 Scarlett’s POV “Ok so now we add the eggs. Can you hand me the eggs buddy?” I ask Devon who is my little helper while I make pancakes. “Here you go Mommy.” He says handing me the eggs. “Thank you.” I say taking the eggs from him. “Louri, stop eating the chocolate chips.” I laugh as she reaches for more. “But I like chocolate chips.” She pouts. “And you will have them in the pancakes unless you keep eating them or else we won’t have any.” I say. “Ok fine I’ll stop.” She says holding her hands up in surrender. “Well now we know who tops in the bedroom.” Liz laughs. “What does that mean?” Devon asks. “I’ll tell you when you’re older.” I say and he shrugs. “Ok.” He says, and Louri gives Lizzie a death glare that she only uses when she is reprimanding one of her men so it’s quite intimidating. “Scarlett, call back your Marine.” Liz says. “Stand down Marine.” I say and she does. “Mama, Mommy do you hear that?” Devon asks. “Yeah it’s coming from the back patio.” Liz says. “Ok everyone, quiet.” Louri says. It sounds like a cat. “Scarlett, come with me please.” Louri says. “Me and Devon can take over the pancakes.” Liz says. Louri and I make our way out to the patio and we find this small black kitten. “Oh hey little one.” Louri says picking it up and it seems to love her already. “Can we keep him?” She asks. “How do you know it’s a him?” I ask. “He’s got balls. We’ll have to get him neutered but he’s so cute and Devon will love him.” Louri says. “I guess cats are easier to take care of than dogs. I guess we can keep him. I’ll call the closet vet and get an appointment set up for him to get his shots.” I tell her and she does a little dance with the cat. “He likes you. Maybe you could train him to be an ESA for you.” I tell her. “How did you know I needed an ESA?” She asks. “Because you have mentioned how Sherman has one and it wakes him from his nightmares when Mildred isn’t there. “You are the best now, let's get this little guy inside.” Louri says. “Hey Devon, come here.” Louri says as we enter the house. “It’s a kitty just like Grandpa Sherman.” He squeals. “Breakfast is ready.” Liz says. “Awesome, let's eat then we can go to the pet store and get this little guy some stuff he’ll need.” I suggest. “Sounds perfect Baby.” Louri says. The kitten rests on Louri’s shoulder the whole time she eats. It's kinda cute. We finish our breakfast and get loaded up in Louri’s truck and the cat won’t leave her. “So have any thoughts on what you are going to name him?” I ask Louri. “Gizmo.” She says. “Like the gremlin from the movie Gremlins?” I ask. “Yep. I have a feeling this little guy is going to be a little gremlin.” She says. “We get to the pet store and get everything we need and some things we probably don't need, like a big bag of catnip. “Aw he’s all worn out from his big day.” Louri says as she lays him down on the couch and takes a picture. “I’m going to send this to the group.” Louri. “So I’m assuming you are going to take him to Germany with you.” I say. “Yeah I’ll have my assistant get a litter box and food and take it to the house.” Louri says. “Ok. So what do you want to do today? I have it off.” I ask. “Let’s just spend time as a family, maybe watch some movies. Or play some board games.” Louri suggests. “I like that idea. What movie should we watch?” I ask. “Well Capitan Marvel is next up after Captain America: The First Avenger if you follow the timeline.” Louri says god she is such a MARVEL geek I love it. “Ok then Capital Marvel it is.” I say getting the twins and putting them between us on the couch and Devon is on Louri’s other side and Lizzie went home so we could have some family quality time.. “Wow, she is really strong.” Devon says as we watch the movie. “That’s because she has super powers.” I tell him. “Yeah but the Black Widow could take her. No one has ever beat her in a fight.” Devon says. “Speaking of Black Widow. Was the a Black Widow cardboard cut out in your room I saw when we were on our video call the other day?” I ask Devon. “Yeah she’s my favorite and I missed you and you are the Black Widow so Mama got me it.” He says. He hasn’t seen Endgame so he doesn’t know that Natasha dies but he is right I was Natasha Romanoff for a little over ten years. I’ve got to tell the group chat that he thinks Natasha could beat Captain Marvel because it’s just so cute.
