Scarlett’s POV
“You look magnificent honey.” Dad says. I watch through the window as Louri walks down the aisle and I see Mary where the officiant is supposed to be. I see Louri look at the three empty seats with the reserved signs on them. “Are you ready?” Dad asks, holding out his arm. “More than ready.” I tell him. The twins are the flower girls. I start to tear up as Dad walks me down the aisle. Louri’s eyes locked on me the second I exited the house. “You look like a goddess.” She says. (A/N I’m skipping some stuff and going to the vows). “As I understand you two have written your own vows.”  Mary says. “Louri, why don’t you go first.” Mary says and Louri takes her glasses out of one of her pockets so she can read. She clears her throat before speaking. “Scarlet Ingrid Johansson-Evans there are so many things I love about you I could write an essay. You always know what to say no matter the situation. I love when you call me “My Marine”. You never looked at me differently when you found out all that happened to me when I was a P.O.W. I love your need for cuddles even if that means you are attached to me like a koala. I love how you help me when my P.T.S.D gets bad.” She says as she gets emotional. “You gave me three amazing kids and a stray cat ha.” She says making us chuckle at the ‘stray cat’ part. “I love how uh excuse me.” She says, clearing her throat and wiping her eyes. “I love how you never gave up on me.” She says and now I am crying. “I love how you know when I need you without me saying a word. I love how you save me from my demons with the two simple words ‘you’re safe’. I love how great you are with the kids. You are an incredible woman Scarlett and I loved you since the day we met. I love you more than words can say. I love how you support my job no matter how much you hate it at times. I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” She says and folds the papers back up and puts them back in her pocket as well as her glasses. “That was beautiful Louri. Scarlett it’s your turn.” Mary says. I wipe my eyes and Liz hands me my papers. “Louri Dollese Evans-Johansson. I love you more than words can say but I’ll try. Louri I love how you always take care of me. I love that you mess with me by putting on my movies. I love that smile you have just for me.” I say and she chuckles at the movie part. I love and hate that you have put your life on the line to keep me safe. Hold on, give me a second.” I say as I try not to sob and Louri grabs my free hand and rubs her thumb across my knuckles. “I love how you call Devon your “little Marine”. I love the way you hold me tight. I love how you will glitter bomb people just to mess with them.” I say and she laughs and nods. “I love how you are with the kids. I love your ridiculous love of caffeine. I love that you always have your nose in a book every chance you get. I love how much you truly care for your unit.” I say and her eyes go to the three chairs for a second then back at me. I am so proud of the things you have accomplished.” I say and I start tearing up when I read the next sentence my voice cracks as I read it. “I love how your love for us is so strong that you went through hell and back just to be able to come home to us. There are so many more things I love about you but if I listed them we’d be here for years. I love you Louri and I am so proud to have the privilege of being your wife. I love you Marine and I always will.” I finish and Liz takes the papers so I can hold Louri’s hands. “I now have the privilege to pronounce you wife and wife. Now kiss each other.” Mary says. Louri pulls me in for a long passionate kiss and my lips just melt into hers.
