Lucky all Maya had was a cold and was feeling better in the morning which is a relief I hate seeing my kids sick. Scarlett and Lizzie have been planning the wedding like it’s a military operation. I was told that my job was to show up. I have been asked what kind of flowers I think we should use and basic things like that. “Babe, what do you think?” Scarlett asks, showing me a set of china. “Those are really pretty.” I tell her. “I thought so too. So you like these?” She asks. “Yes I do. Honey, you are going to give yourself an aneurysm. We've still got two months.” I tell her. “You know nothing about wedding planning do you?” She chuckles. “Not a thing.” I say. “That’s why I told you and Lizzie have full control over planning.” I add. “Then let me tell you this. There is a lot that goes into a wedding. Here, think of it this way: you take a long time planning military operations, sometimes a year ahead, right?” She says. “Yes, because we want everything to go smoothly. But I can see what you mean: a wedding is like an opp there is a lot put into so that it goes smoothly and correctly.” I say. “Exactly.” She says. “That sounds stressful.” I say. “Well not as stressful as a military operation. As I just soak in the nice warm bath Louri changes the sheets.” Ok, the sheets are changed.” She says walking into the bathroom. “Join me.” I say and she smiles. I sit forward so she can sit behind me once she is sat down, her arms immediately go around my waist. “Mmm I love you.” She hums in my ear as she rests her head on my shoulder. “I love you too, Marine.” I say. “I love it when you call me that. Whether it’s in a sexy way or just as a nickname.” She says. After we both get cleaned up I put on some underwear and steal one of Louri’s USMC t-shirts making her chuckle at me. “What?” I ask. “You do know you own clothes right?” She jokes. “Yeah but yours are comfy.” I say as she puts on basically the same outfit as me to sleep in except she is wearing a Black Widow t-shirt. “Why do you own so much MARVEL murch?” I ask. “Because I’m a nerd.” She says, opening her arms for me to lay in as she lays in bed. I crawl into them instantly. “Goodnight Marine.” I say. “Goodnight Love.” She says back kissing my head and we both fall asleep.
