Louri POV
Once we got off the plane I had Scarlett take the twins to the car that is waiting for us to take us to the base we will be staying at here in Berlin. I grabbed Devon’s hand and walked with him and Greg over to the next plane that the 4077th platoon will be boarding to Camp Mason. Making sure everything is settled with them getting on we head over to the car and I help Devon into his car seat and get into the front passenger seat “Willkommen in Berlin (A/N: translation: Welcome to Berlin)” the driver says. “Danke(A/N: Translation: Thank you)” I say in response as we start heading to Patton Military base. As we arrive at base we pull up to the gates and I hand over my military ID and credentials as well as Scarlett’s ID, passport and the kids passports as well. The guard reviews everything and hands everything back to me. “Willkommen, Colonel (A/N Translation: Welcome, Colonel)” the guard says as I smile and nod as they open the gate for us. We drive through and head to the main building. Once we are parked I get out and help get the kids out with Scarlett. Greg’s car follows behind us as he and Grace have arrived after their security checkpoint. I take Scarlett’s hand in mine and we walk in with the kids. Once inside we are greeted by General Sebastian Banes, “Ah Colonel Evans, Sargent Greg Willkommen, Willkommen (A/N Translation: Welcome, Welcome)” he says as he shakes both our hands. “General, Schön, Sie kennenzulernen, das sind meine Frau Scarlett, mein Sohn Devon und unsere Töchter Louisa und Maya (A/N Translation: Nice to meet you, this is my wife Scarlett, our son Devon and our daughters Louisa and Maya) I say to him. “Your German is very good,” he says, making me look shocked. “Yes, I speak English as well, Colonel. Helps with communication around here” he tells me, making me nod my head. “That is definitely good to know” Greg says chuckling. “This is my wife Grace” Greg introduces to the General. “Nice to meet you all, thank you for coming out here, I know it’s not easy having to uproot your family but we appreciate all the help we can get” General Banes says. “We are happy to help General” I say in response. “Here is a map of the base, please head to your homes on base and get yourselves settled. We will have a meeting first thing tomorrow morning at 0600 hours” General says handing us both maps. “Thank you General” both Greg and I say saluting him. “You’re welcome, at ease” he replies. We turn and head out of the main building, our drivers take us to our homes on base, luckily we are close by eachother. Scarlett takes the kids inside as I start bringing in our suitcases. “Wow this home is beautiful” Scarlett says. “Yes it is” I say while hugging her from behind. “Guess it won’t be so bad being out here” she says, making me nod.

Scarlett POV
I see Devon walking around the house checking things out. “How do you like the house Devon?” I ask as I walk over by him. “It’s ok I guess, I do miss our home” he says looking up at me. “I miss it too but we are here for Mama's job, we won’t be living here forever. But there are so many places we can explore” I tell him, picking him up putting him on my hip. “Do you think they have parks here?” He asks. “Of course they do and we will definitely have to go and check them out” I say making him smile. Louri walks downstairs carrying the girls and placing them on their play mats we brought with us”. “How are we doing, little Marine?” She asks Devon. “I’m ok, mommy said they have parks here so we can check some of them out” he replies as she hums nodding her head. “That definitely sounds like a good idea,” she says to him, giving him a kiss on the head. “I’m going to get started on dinner babe, will you take Devon?” I ask Louri. “Yeah come on little Marine let’s play with your sisters” she says as she grabs Devon from my arms and walks over to the girls. I am so lucky that I have an amazing wife who loves to play with our children. She is a big kid at heart and it makes me smile seeing how she interacts with them. Hearing their laughter is the best music to my ears, it’s my own serotonin and I always loving hearing them laugh. Maybe being here won’t be so bad.
