SPECIAL CHAPTER (PART 2)

I woke up and realized what day today was. I looked at my phone and saw the notification I got from my calendar.

Dylan's birthday

It's been 5 years since he started courting me. I already bought a present for him but I'm not planning to settle for just that.

Good morning there, my princess. See you later. I love you.

That message was hours ago. I smiled. It felt like that sweet and simple message already gave me a boost to start the day. Excited na akong makita siya mamaya. Kasalukuyan siyang nasa US ngayon para sa isang business trip at mamayang hapon pa ang uwi niya. Ako naman ay pupunta muna sa restaurant ko para i-check ang ginagawa ng staff ko. Mamaya ay dadalawin ko rin si Kuya Adrian sa opisina niya bago umuwi at maghanda para sa party ni Dylan, which will happen tonight. I texted him back.

Take care. I just got up. I love you.

Pagkatapos kong mag-reply sa kanya ay bumangon na ako at pumunta sa banyo para maligo. I wore my white collared shirt under my grey blazer and paired it with my grey high-waisted pants. I let my hair down, and I also wore my stilletos. Bitbit ang itim kong Dominguez bag ay lumabas na ako ng kwarto at pumunta sa dining area para kumain.

"Good morning po, Ma'aam Andria!" Pagpasok ko sa dining area ay bumungad sa'kin ang pagbati nina Lucinda. "Ang ganda niyo talaga kahit kailan!"

I smiled at them and sat down at the table. "Salamat."

They were chatting with me while I was eating, and I didn't mind it. Masaya naman silang kausap. Pagkatapos kong kumain ay pumunta na ako sa labas. Pumasok ako sa sasakyan ko at ako na ang nagmaneho papunta sa restaurant.

"Magandang umaga, Ma'am!" bungad sa'kin ng aking staff nang makita ako. I greeted them back.

I usually spend my time monitoring the work of my staff and also managing them, as well as resolving customer issues. The day went smoothly at the restaurant as we all got tired after all the hard work we did. I thanked my staff and then left to go see my older brother in his office.

The moment I entered the building, the employees greeted me, as always. When I got in the elevator, an employee pressed the floor where Kuya Adrian's office was, so I thanked her. Palaging si Kuya ang pinupuntahan ko dito sa building kaya alam na 'yon ng mga empleyado dito.

Pagpunta ko sa floor ni Kuya ay sinabihan ako ng secretary niya na nasa board meeting pa siya kaya umupo muna ako sa sofa sa loob ng office niya para maghintay. His secretary gave me tea so I thanked him before he left. I was busy scrolling through my socmed when I thought of calling my cousin to check on him. Judging by the time, I think he should be back now from South Korea after the fashion week there.

"Annyeong, Sa-chon."

Hindi ko napigilang matawa sa bungad niya. He sounds sleepy. "Hello," sabi ko. "Nakauwi ka na ba?"

"Yup. Nasa bahay na ako."

"Kagigising mo lang?"

"Hindi pa ako nakakatulog."

"Makakapunta ba kayo sa party mamaya?"

I heard him yawn. "Oo. Medyo malelate lang."

Napatingin ako sa pinto nang pumasok si Kuya Adrian, mukhang natapos na sa board meeting.

"Matulog ka muna at magpahinga. Ibababa ko na 'to. I just called to check on you."
