Without a doubt, summer was Daisy's favourite part of the year.

It was incredible, especially at the Potters'. She could stay up with her friends, ride bikes to the beach, and eat lunch together at a seaside restaurant.

For the past few days, Daisy had been woken up by Lily, eaten breakfast made by Harry Potter, played board games with her best friends, swam at the beach, watched Muggle action movies, and stayed up talking about everything and anything with her friends until late at night. It was, simply put, brilliant.

It was now the fifth day at the Potters', July twenty-first, to be exact. She had ditched her guest bedroom to have a sleepover with Lily, Marlee, and Gwen, so she awoke with Gwen's head on her shoulder. Last night, the four girls had stayed up pretty late talking about the most irritating people at Hogwarts.

Daisy sat up, yawning and stretching her arms. She shook Lily, Marlee, and Gwen awake.

"Hm?" mumbled Lily, rolling over so her face was buried in her pillow. Daisy chuckled at the thirteen-year-old girl.

"I'm going to my room to change, alright?"

"Whatever," groaned Marlee, closing her eyes once again. Daisy smiled before heading over to her room to change out of her flower-print pajamas. She could smell Harry's pancakes being cooked downstairs, and a satisfied feeling rushed over her body.

She rummaged through her closet before pulling out a small, light blue t-shirt with the logo of a random Muggle sports team and a pair of soft white shorts. She admired her silver crescent moon necklace in the mirror.

Just then, somebody knocked on her door.

"Come in!" she said. In walked James Potter, with a deep green t-shirt, navy blue shorts, and hair messier than usual. He looked her up and down before shooting her a wink.

"Looking good, Wood," he said, his voice slightly raspy. She walked over to him and flicked her finger on his forehead. "Ow! I just came to say that breakfast was ready!"

"Ooh, pancakes, right?" she guessed. He nodded. "Race you downstairs!"

Daisy shoved James back and ran toward the stairs. He was right on her tail, but she kept him back by keeping her arms stretched out at her sides. The two were in fits of laughter by the time they reached the breakfast table, where Harry, Antheia, Benjamin, Thomas, Marlee, Gwen, Remus, and Lily already were.

"Good morning!" greeted Antheia cheerfully, as James and Daisy sat down.

"Good morning!" replied Daisy, cutting her pancakes.

"Morning, Mum," said James.

"Hey, how did you three get down here before me?" asked Daisy, looking at Lily, Marlee, and Gwen, all of whom were fully dressed, but looked to be on the verge of passing out.

"Remus dragged us down here," said Lily, shooting a glare at her older brother. Remus shrugged.

"So what's the plan for today?" asked Harry, looking at his eldest son. He had a red apron tied around him.

"I was thinking we could play some board games, as usual," said James. "Maybe have some dinner at that restaurant by the beach. We'll come up with more stuff to do later."

"I'm surprised you haven't come up with everything yet, considering how late I heard you talking last night," said Harry, raising his eyebrows. James broke out into a grin.

"Sorry, Dad, I thought you were asleep!" said James. "It was like three o'clock in the morning!"

Harry shot his son a look before reaching over the table to ruffle up his hair.
