Lights were blaring. Music was blasting. Colors were flashing.

Daisy Wood was at her last Gryffindor party ever.

She was going to make this one count. How could she not? She had just won the biggest game that she had ever played. It seemed as if the entire Hogwarts population had crammed into the Gryffindor common room. Daisy couldn't be happier.

"The last party I'm ever throwing for Gryffindor," said James, his arm around her shoulders. Daisy frowned. "Oh don't be sad, Daisy! We'll have plenty of parties in the future. Just savor this moment, drink loads of Firewhiskey, dance the night away, and don't go to bed till four!"

"I won't, I promise," grinned Daisy. "Now, where's all the Firewhiskey?"

"Now you're talking!" exclaimed James, looking like a child on Christmas morning. He grabbed her hand and led her to a table with maybe fifty bottles of Firewhiskey. "I told each one of my Weasley aunts and uncles to send over a few bottles of Firewhiskey. They each sent a couple and now I've got fifty! Smart move, right?"

"I'm impressed, Potter," chuckled Daisy. She grabbed a bottle from the front and waved Thomas, Benjamin, Gwen, and Marlee over to them. Daisy then poured the contents of the bottle into six different cups. She raised her glass to her five best friends. "Seven years and maybe a trillion parties. Here's to the last one at Hogwarts!"

"Here's to that incredible game!" cheered Thomas.

"Here's to Gryffindor above all else!" bellowed Benjamin.

"Here's to sleeping at four!" laughed Gwen.

"Here's to Firewhiskey at parties!" exclaimed Marlee.

"Here's to the best seven years with the best five people!" declared James.

The last party at Hogwarts, the incredible win, Gryffindor superiority, late sleeping, getting drunk at parties, and the best seven years with her five best friends. Daisy could toast to that.

The six of them clinked their glasses together and downed their drinks. Daisy coughed but not nearly as much as she used to back in her fifth year. She had gotten so used to the incredibly amazing routine of nervously preparing for a game, winning said game, celebrating in the common room for hours, then waking up annoyed the next morning that James seemed not the least bit hungover while Daisy herself felt like fainting. She wasn't ready for that to be over.

But she couldn't stop time, she knew that. All she could do was make this a night to remember.

"I can't even believe I'm saying this, but let's forget about the N.E.W.Ts for tonight," said Daisy. James' jaw dropped.

"Who are you and what have you done to my nerdy girlfriend?" he asked. Daisy shoved his shoulder.

"Daisy, nobody was thinking about the N.E.W.Ts," said Benjamin.

"Alright, whatever," she shrugged. "Just ... just act like there's no tomorrow because thinking about it, we only have a few weeks till we're no longer students."

"No tomorrow?" chuckled Marlee.

"I've had that philosophy for my entire life, my lady," said James, "but I guess I can let you guys all in on my thing, just for tonight."

"How sweet, James," smiled Daisy. "Now, what would someone so mad and so without regard for their safety do ... in simpler terms, what would James do?"

Thomas, Benjamin, Marlee, and Gwen burst out into laughter while James looked genuinely in thought. Then, his face lit up and Daisy got a sinking feeling in her chest.
