A peculiar drone

I returned to the spire and saw a worker drone running away from it. Quite brave of them to enter there. The DD's { I will be abbreviating Disassembly drones. } were all standing around. J and V were staring at N. J looked quite annoyed.

Jack: What's going on?

J: Synergistic liability here must've knocked himself offline.

J slapped him in the face to reboot his systems. I don't know why they were programmed to work like that honestly. I think me and Tessa just thought it'd be funny. It was a long time ago. N finished rebooting and looked quite distressed about something.

N: Oh.

He looked over at the footprints made by the worker drone that came in here. And looked quite a bit more distressed.

N: OOOOOH. Y'know I left an extremely dangerous weapo- err excuse. Outside.

He ran off. Neither me nor the DD's looked impressed.

Jack: You're following him right?

J: Of course we're following him.

Jack: Take me with you. If I had to guess, he's going after the worker drone that was running off. Meaning they'll be at the colony. I want to see these doors you keep talking about.

J: You mean you haven't checked them out yet?

Jack: Never felt like it. I'll do it now though.

J: Fine. Come on V.

V rolled her eyes and flew off. J extended a hand to me. I took it, and she launched into the sky, Dragging me with her. After a relatively short flight, I was dropped in front of a doorway. With a forced open door. V and J both seemed surprised about the condition of the door, so I took it this was not normal. Seeing as the hallway was lined with the corpses of various worker drones, all brutalized in some creative way, N must've been through here. Speaking of N, we finally saw him, this hallway is remarkably long. I should've come here sooner though; this definitely seems like a JCJenson compound. N was pinning a random worker drone to the wall with one of his wings. When he saw us, he threw it off to the side. Judging by the scream, it was female. Neither J nor V seemed to notice she was still alive, however.

J: Hold on, am I dreaming, or did you do something not useless for once?

V: I've been trying to get past those doors for months! Nice work N.

N seemed happy V said his name. It was obvious he liked her, even though she did not appear reciprocate his feelings. I was caught up with the fact V said months. I didn't think she was misjudging the time we've been here, that shouldn't be possible. But I guess it probably has been about five months since we arrived. V said something and then shot up through a ventilation shaft.

J was about to do the same when N stopped her. He asked about the worker drones and The Company. Bad move N. Maybe Ask me or V, but not J. J stuck him with a virus, that I distinctly do not remember equipping them with when we made them. So, JCJenson modified them. Great. that's something to look out for.

J: Don't even think about helping him, Jack.

Jack: Oh shut up. Go kill people. I'll get the door open.

J leaped up through the vent and I heard her crawl through the ceiling. Once I couldn't hear her, I walked over to where N had thrown the worker drone.

Jack: You haven't died yet, have you?

She didn't respond. I just looked at her. Pretty quick, her visor came back on, and she looked around. Eventually meeting my gaze.

Jack: Hi. You good?
