Jack: V? V!

I ran over and grabbed her shoulders, shaking her. She just stood there. I looked down at what she held. A tape labeled "Zombie Drones". I remember this. It contains instructions on proper deactivation and disassembly of drones, as well as warning of the incredibly small chance an improperly deactivated drone can reboot. And the even smaller chance it can reboot with some kind of mutation.

On the front, it warns you to not show it to drones. It can cause a bunch of problems. Such as software malfunctions, violent behavior, and can possibly compromise the drones OS. We never knew why, just that it did. It would never give a 606 error though. That was for something completely different. I stepped away and extended my hand, the glyph appearing. I reach to V, into her OS. Into the code which made up her being. I searched for any errors, but I couldn't find anything. I would need a computer to properly check. A powerful one at that.

Uzi. Uzi might have something.

I grabbed V's hand, pocketing the tape, and focused. I teleported me and her back to the spire.

Jack: UZI! Where are you!?

Uzi: Jack! Something happened to N!

Uzi climbed out of the landing pod, noticing the state V was in.

Uzi: Oh god, her too?

Jack: Uzi, did this happen to N? Right now?

Uzi: Yeah. He taught me how to land, and said he found something he wanted to watch with me. He pulled out this weird looking tape and then his head started sparking!

I reached into my pocket and pulled out the tape.

Jack: This one?

Uzi: Yeah! What happened to V?

Jack: Same shit. We were looking around and she found this. This happened to her as soon as she touched it.

Uzi: What is it?

Jack: It talks about how properly disassemble drones. You're not supposed to see it, but touching shouldn't cause this. This error has to do with something else entirely.

Uzi: Well? What's it for?

Jack: Do you remember the "virus" J stuck to N? That was something called wdOS-606. Probably a modified version of it. It disconnects your core from the rest of your software, so you don't come back from the dead somehow. Error 606 is for when something goes wrong with that process.

Uzi: Wait, come back from the dead?

Jack: Yeah. It can happen sometimes, it's an incredibly small chance, but it can. wdOS-606 just made sure that didn't happen. I can't see anything wrong with V. I need a computer. You have anything?

Uzi: Maybe. But it's back at the bunker.

Jack: Okay. Where's N?

Uzi: I moved him to the landing pod.

Jack: Wait right here.

I teleported me and V to the entrance of the bunker, then I went back. I ran over to the landing pod and checked inside. N was in there, and his visor had the same error message. What was causing this? I grabbed him and teleported back to the bunker, leaving him next to V. I went back to get Uzi.

Jack: Take my hand.

Uzi: Where are you teleporting them to?

Jack: The bunker. Come on.

She grabbed my hand, and I brought us there. I definitely didn't have the energy to teleport anymore. Uzi went to knock on the door, but I just tore it open with The Solver. I grabbed V and N, and Uzi lead us into the bunker. I effortlessly forced open the other doors, terrifying the worker drones guarding them. Uzi led me to her room. I placed N and V at the foot of her bed.
