"Hey Jack!"

I spun around in my chair to face the door. N waved at me.

Jack: What's up N?

N: I was just thinking, we should spar! It's been a while, and it was fun.

Jack: It has been a long time, hasn't it? Well, I'm not busy. Let's do it.

I picked Cyn up and sat her in my chair, and walked over to N.

Cyn: How long are you going to be gone?

Jack: No idea. Half an hour? Two hours? We'll see. How about you go find Tess and tell her what we're doing?

Cyn: Can do!

Cyn disappeared, off to find Tessa.

N: You sure that's a good idea?

Jack: Oh, she'll be pissed off if we don't tell her. Reap3r can bring her to us if she wonders where we are. Now...

I placed a hand on N's shoulder and teleported us outside. We were just outside the boundaries of Sanitatem. I teleported several feet away and extended the blade of my sword. N drew both of his swords and readied himself. Our position reminded me of when we would spar in the past...

I raised my sword and blocked a strike, our wooden swords clashing together. I leaned to the side to dodge a stab. N was a dual wielder, and while a greatsword was good at keeping distance, it wasn't so good at close range, and N was fast. I raised my knee and hit him in the chest, stunning him long enough for me to hit him.

N: Crap!

Jack: Almost got me there! Have you been practicing?

N: Maybe I have.

Tessa, Cyn, and V cheered from a distance. J clapped politely, but her smile showed that she was enjoying our duel.

Jack: I'm not tired yet. You good to go again?

N: Oh yeah, I'm just getting started.

Jack: That's what I like to hear!

I teleported away and readied my weapon. N raised his swords and prepared for a clash.

We flew at each other, our swords sparking against each other, speaking a language only they understood. I grinned. N's visor turned to an X, reflecting in the lenses of my gas mask. I pushed him away and swung. He redirected the strike and went in for his own. I pulled my sword and tried to hit him with the back edge. He ducked the strike and continued his attack.

I brought my sword down and managed to block his strike, the wood splintering from the force. His other sword swung for my head. I ducked and tried to slash his torso. N slid beneath my blade and kicked my legs out from under me. He got up and raised his sword, planning to stab down on my head.

I leaned my head to the side. His sword impaled the snow beneath me, glinting in the moonlight. I grabbed his arm and pulled myself up, dragging his sword further into the ground. He swung his other weapon at me, trying to create some space. I dodged backward out of his range. He smirked, and suddenly I was face to face with his wings. I dove to the side to avoid the blades. He pulled his sword out and raised his tail.
