Cyn was floating in the center of the room, limp with a glyph around her neck. She drifted to the side, revealing the Solver in its entirety.
"Well you found me. Congratulations. Was it worth it? Because despite your violent behavior, the only thing you've managed to break so far, is my heart. How about we just settle for that, and call it a day? I guess we both know that isn't going to happen."
Jack: This could be easy. You could give me Cyn, and we could go?
"Ha. no. I cannot do that."
Jack: It was worth a shot.
I pulled out my gun and unloaded toward the Solver. I didn't feel like waiting. Tessa did the same. All shots found their targets. it growled and pushed forward, but was hit by six missiles, fired from the Disassembly Drones.
"I suppose from now on, there's going to be a lot less conversation and a lot more killing."
Me and Tessa ran forward, intent on killing it quickly. Behind us, the bots fended off many claws, tentacles, and what sounded like a few guns too. We extended our wings and tails, mine being used to defend against attacks, and Tessa using her tail gun to hopefully try and damage it. I fired off a bunch of lasers, but they were blocked. We got close and swung our swords, which it managed to deflect. Seems like it's learning.
"Look, you're wasting your time. And believe me, you don't have a lot left to waste."
I sighed through my mask, and swung at it again, using my tail to cover me as I attacked. This time, I took off a claw. One of its lenses squinted in mild irritation, and it hit me in the stomach with a claw. I got flung, but teleported back to where I was. Tessa had been doing some damage as well, taking off a few claws. The bots were still on the defensive, but I assumed that wouldn't remain that way for too much longer, as a missile soared over my head and into the Solver.
"I let you survive this long because I was curious about your behavior. Well, you've managed to destroy that part of me."
I jabbed my tail forward, trying to skewer it. It jerked back, dodged the strike. Tessa fired a follow up shot, which was blocked. We were both getting a little annoyed at its survivability. We continued to swing at it, occasionally taking off a claw or a camera that got too close.
"STOP! Okay, enough. I didn't want to have to do this."
I heard screaming. I turned my head and saw Cyn clawing at her visor, screaming in pain. Her head sparked, and one of her eyes was the Solver symbol.
Jack: What the FUCK do you think you're doing!?
Tessa: Stop! Leave her alone!
"I am giving you one last chance to surrender. Or I, WILL, kill her."
Jack: No.
I waved my hand toward Cyn. The glyph around her neck disappeared, and she fell to the ground. She had stopped screaming as well.
"What? How did you do that."
Jack: Did you forget? I made you. I can do, whatever I want.
"Yet you never did anything before?"
Jack: I wasn't capable of this before. Fortunately, my partner did some digging, and found out how I can overwrite your commands.
"That isn't possible, I made sure of it."
Jack: When you're dealing with me, nothing is, impossible. It just hasn't been done yet.
"No. NO!"
A claw was swung at me. It was torn off the main body by a blue glyph.
Tessa: You took everything from me. I've been waiting for this for a long time. Too long.
We walked forward. The Solver pressed itself against a wall, throwing everything it had at us. Nothing touched as we approached. All of its claw were torn apart by white and blue symbols. I used a laser to cut it down from the ceiling. It fell to the ground, mostly disarmed. I extended my hand towards it.
"No, stop. No! NO! NO! NO NOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh..."
I poured white lighting from my fingers. Tessa added her own power to the mix. The Solver was forced into a digital hell. It would never die, but it would suffer for the rest of time. It laid motionless on the floor, all of its cameras permanently open, glowing a dull yellow. It would never hurt my family again.
