I can't believe it. How could this have happened?
Dr.☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎ assured me everything was stable. He's run these tests before! So why did this happen now!?
*Flashback*
Jack: Are you sure about this?
Dr: Of course! I've done this dozens of times, everything will be fine Jack.
Jack: Okay. I've got my eyes on the monitor, but if anything goes wrong-
Dr: It won't Jack. Calm yourself.
Jack: Fine ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎. I trust you.
Dr: Thank you, Jack.
Dr. ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎ entered the room and it sealed behind him. He adjusted the Oxygen tank on his back. The room was completely sealed, and all air was vacuumed out. Dr. ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎ extended his hand towards the center of the room. The glyph appeared in his hand. I held my breath, keeping an eye on the monitor to my left. It was keeping tabs on the room. Any possible problems would be reported to me instantly.
The space around the center of the room began to twist, and eventually it imploded, creating a small black hole. I gripped the desk I was sitting at, knuckles turning white.
"How are the readings?"
I jumped when his voice came over the intercom. I looked to the monitor. Everything was holding steady.
Jack: It's good. Everything's stable. That is a genuine black hole in the room with you.
"Good. I'm going to let it destabilize."
He lowered his hand and retreated to the edge of the room. The black hole shuddered and began to close. Then it roared. It flared up, violently sucking in anything it could.
Jack: ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎ GET OUT OF THERE!
He grabbed onto the doorframe, barely managing to hold on.
"Jack!"
I could hardly hear him over the angry singularity.
"Continue my work, Jack! Don't let everything we've done go to waste!"
Jack: ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎!
And then he slipped. I watched him get dragged into the void. His from twisting and elongating as he was dragged through the event horizon. And then he was gone. Once he disappeared, the black hole destabilized and closed, leaving no trace of its existence. I couldn't breathe. I fell to my knees, desperately trying to take in oxygen. My chest felt tight, like my lungs were imploding. It felt like in a few moments, I'd have a black hole burst from my chest. My vision darkened, and I passed out on the laboratory floor.
I awoke, gasping for air and clawing at whatever was touching me. It quickly let go and I fell out of a chair. I tore my mask off and breathed, coughing violently.
"Christ Jack, you okay?"
I slowly came to my senses, remembering where I was.
Jack: Tessa?
Tessa: Yeah, it's me. What the hell happened?
Jack: I saw him die again. Dr. ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎.
Tessa: You saw... who?
Jack: Dr. ☝︎✌︎💧︎❄︎☜︎☼︎? The scientist?
Tessa: What are you saying? The scientist?
