The sky was still dark when Hermione sat up drenched in sweat. Breathing heavily as she ran a hand through hair.

A small whimper got her out of bed and looked into the crib. Lily was sniffing and her lower lip wobbled as she stared at her.

"It's okay sweet girl," Hermione whispered. Picking her up, "it's okay...you're okay..."

She began crying softly as Hermione sat on the rocking chair. She moved slowly while Lily calmed down once she had summoned her bottle.

She stared out the window. This nightmare has been one of the war. She kept seeing Harry die in the war and it was all her fault.

Her phone buzzed beside her. Pulling the device out she answered it.

"Hello?"

"Did I wake you, love?"

She blushed at the pet name.

"No," she murmured. Looking down at Lily whose eyes were beginning to droop, "Lily woke up...what is it?"

"I just wanted to talk to you."

"It's three in the morning..."

"We'll I would have rather you be in my bed but this will have to do."

She giggled.

"You're insufferable."

"Can I come over?"

"James and Henry will begin to suspect why you're here all the time."

"I'll talk to them..."

"Draco..." she sighed.

"There's actually something I need to talk to you about..."

"What is it?"

She heard him sigh.

"I don't really want to say..."

"Why?"

"Because this can ruin my chances with you..."

She sat up and switched ears.

"What is it?"

She heard him sigh and there was a rustle on the other side.

"Oh..." she murmured, of course. He had thought it over, and he knew that he could be with someone as defective as she was.

"It's nothing bad, don't go there, I desperately want to be with you Granger, you don't know for how long..."

She was confused now.

"Malfoy, what is it?"

She heard him sigh.

"Can I please come over?"

She chewed her lower lip.

"Okay..." she whispered, "wards are open..."

A second later a soft snap of apperation snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked up and Draco looked worse for wear. He sat down and sighed.

They stayed silent.

"Draco—"

He stared at and looked defeated.

"There's something I need to tell you before we can get any more serious..." he said.

"Malfoy, you're scaring me," she whispered. Moving to lay behind him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his shoulder.

"What is it?" She whispered softly.
