"Ouch," Joe responded, "I feel like with the size of apartments today it's so easy to hit your head.. I did in my kitchen the other day," he muttered, "Mr Mooney, the man who owns the bookshop, he's like eighty, that's why I run it, I look after his antique books.. his business, I know him when I was younger, so he trusts me," Joe shrugged,
He glared at her gently as she smirked, scoffing at her playful suggestion that it was him,
'HAH,'
"You think I'm cute?" He smirked, "I couldn't even dissect a pig in high school without puking.. I couldn't even imagine.." he trailed off, copying her shiver from earlier.

Joe raised his eyebrows, 'you strangled your girlfriend to!'
"I agree, I don't know why there so... hard, and-" he let out an annoyed laugh, "it wasn't even my fault, she, she couldn't accept who I was," he scoffed,
'You killed my friends! You- you were a creep, and a kidnapper!" Becks voice reminded him.
"Sorry-" Joe quickly let out, "didn't mean to just explode that on you," he sighed, "like I said, it ended rocky,"
Joe was almost glad for the waiter to interrupt them, taking the chance to avoid further topic on the Conversation any paying the bill. Even if he also wanted to avoid paying that ridiculous bill. 'And they say what I do is a crime'

Joe waved her off, "please, it was the least I could do, you blessed me with your company, I haven't had a decent conversation that wasn't about cook books or Tracey Adam's in weeks," he muttered... "Ethan," he clarified. "I feel like I can actually use my brain for these conversations,"
Joe noticed the blush, how couldn't he? Her skin was so clear. And the touch of pink made her eyes light up.
He shuffled in his chair slightly, stopping when she mentioned this weekend,
'Don't get up and sing hallelujah, you can do that when you get home'
Joe smirked, "no- I mean- yes, yeah it's still open," he smirked, glaring at her playfully, "I knew I wasn't going to live that down," he joked, "my body likes to betray me when I need it most," he joked back, "would you like me to walk you home?" He offered,
'Woman, love a gentleman,'

He moved up from his seat, reluctantly leaving a top for the waiter under the bill. Standing and looking down at Ella. "Shall we," he smiled politely.
