Love

Love makes you do..crazy things. Love makes you make dumb decisions, become delusional, and create a world that nobody can actually live in. Love is wonderful. And love is scary. Love makes you get pregnant at 16, and leave the baby before you even name her. Love makes you a single parent, raising a little girl by yourself. Love makes you work. Love makes you angry. Love makes you miserable. Love..destroys you. So why was everyone sooo obsessed with it. Everyone had to have it, everyone needed it. If you don't have Love, you have nothing.

Ella B grew up with a mother who wanted nothing to do with her. Her mother chose a life of unknown instead of a life of certainty. While her father might've chose the life of certainty, he really chose the death of living. Working a 9 to 5 and then a 5 to 9. He barely saw Ella, and when he did he was only reminded by the woman he fell in love with who left him without a trace. He never had kind words to say about her mother so Ella only could describe her as a red haired bitch who is selfish and stupid. But, it was never love. Truthfully, Ella never understood the definition of the word Love, in fact she used it so much that the meaning had no value to her, she just knew people liked to say it. It wasn't until she met Evan when *Love* had meaning.

Love made her laugh. Love made her smile on her happy days and on her sad days. Love brought her coffee in the morning, and hot tea after a night out. Love took trips, and took pictures. Love hugged and kissed and..loved each other. Love made sense...love was *not* destruction. Love was..beautiful.

And this..Joe? This wasn't beautiful. This was..sad.

Ella's eyes softened as she watched Joe walk around in circles. He slowly began to unfold *everything*. She felt sick to her stomach to hear how twisted his thought process was. Like he did *her* a favor. And her neighbor?! And he even knew about her one night tinder dates. Jesus fuck- Ella closed her eyes to force her tears to not fall, not now. She slowly opened them again, jumping slightly at the sound of Joe's fist against the glass, her eyes following the trail of blood as he began to mumble. Part of her felt bad. Not because of what he did but because of whatever was done to him to become this way. Nobody deserves..to not feel what love is supposed to feel like.

"I don't love you Joe" her words were calm as she uncrossed her legs, leaning forward slightly. "You don't love me, we don't love each other. You are *fixated*. you love the idea of love, maybe, but-" she paused as she stood to her feet, walking up to the glass. She placed her hand against it, the cold touch sending goosebumps up her arms.

"I *did* like you Joe. But nothing you can say, will make this okay. Don't you understand?" She said dropping her hand and going back to her chair. "I almost want to feel bad for you, but I know Evan would love to see you right now. Take revenge he would say, call Marco and let him see who hurt his baby brother-but unlike you I'm not that cruel. So I will let the cops handle..you.." she trailed off as she reached into her bag, but to her surprise, there was no phone..her eyes slowly gazed into the cage where her jacket still laid from earlier when she took it off. And her phone was zipped in the pocket. Stupid stupid stupid. This is why they should just add pockets to dresses!

Ella walked over to the sliding window in the glass wall, looking to Joe n

"Joe..hand me my phone" She said sternly even if she was shitting bricks. "I'm sorry this is Joe the night had to end..but it does need to end. You and I both know it...hand me..my phone.
