Joe smirked leaning against the bar top as he swivelled around so his chest as facing her. "Pregame? I'm not that nerve wrecking am I?" He smirked playfully, starting his little game with her, it always made them feel a little more at ease, he lowered there guard, by dripping the confidence of those around them. Joe took the chance to admire Ella's features as she looks away. Her lips were full, and was that...lip gloss.
'Do you want to be kissed Ella?'
Her hair was in slight waves, and some of it just sat perfectly tucked behind her ear. His eyes kept on her lips, he couldn't believe how close he was to kissing them the other night. Agh it was a perfect situation. And it was all ruined by the man currently stuck in Joes basement. He'd figure out how to get rid of him soon.

Joe couldn't help but smell her perfume as she leant closer to him, admiring her skin from so close. How the valley of her chest disappeared into her shirt. Joe was quick to divert his eyes back to the couple they were secretly tormenting. "Ohh, yeah, what? You thinking sugar daddy? Good digger.. kidnapped?" He whispered. Joe nodded at the bartender as he grabbed his drink, bringing the sugar lined cup to his mouth.
'Ethan lied, this drink is awful-'
He smiled into his cup as he took a sip of the alcohol, the liquid burning his throat as he swallowed.
'I might as well drink battery acid'
Joe tapped his foot lightly against the floor. Raising a brow at her compliment.
'It's crowded, it stinks, and there are no books. What's to love?'
"I know. It's a personal favourite of mine, the rooftop, it's.. nice up here," he shrugged casually, putting his drink down. He let out a low chuckle, "I have my secrets, besides, I just knew you'd love it," he smirked, glancing back down at her lips, he sat up slightly when she put her drink down.

'No? Really- Evan you mastermind.. at least I know he was telling the truth..' Joe blinked, glancing a the band trying way to hard to cover Bowie. "You should be careful, there are creeps who meet woman on rooftop bars," he joked,
'Wait- did I ruin.. her ultimate soul finding fantasy?'
Joe nodded, taking another sip of his drink only to choke on it slightly,
'Did she just tell me was just looking for a hunk of a man? Be a bookshop manager.. I don't genuinely classify my friend to be a.. hunk..'
Joe swallowed, grabbing a napkin, "sorry.. I'm not laughing I promise, it just.. sounds like an adults fairy tale," he teased.
'So she does want six kids? I've never been one to dream of children, but for you El, I could make it work'
Joes jaw clenched slightly,
'How does one love someone.. just by looking at them.'
'Oh I don't know.. you laugh at these jokes, notice them, ask them there name, Jesus Christ Ella, this is our story!' this is how we fell in love!'

Joe couldn't help but notice the way her eyes darted down to his lips.
'Did I brush my teeth? Shit-'
Joes eyes also followed her lips,
'Kiss me.. kiss me-'
Joe leant forward slightly swallowing, but his seat was quickly straightened when she moved back and grabbed her drink.
'Ok, we'll take that as a no for now...'
Joe cleared his throat,
"Ella-"
Joe stopped when he felt his phone ringing, rolling his eyes he pulled it from his pocket. "Oh- on sec," he smiled at her apologetically, before sliding off the seat and into a quieter corner.

"Hey Joe, it's Ethan, I was just about to close up, but the power shut off, the electrician is here but he says the only fuse box we have is downstairs-"

"No! No- Ah- hey it's fine, I'll sort it out, just close early, don't worry about it," he laughed nervously into the phone.

"Are you sure, cause the guy says he can probably get the door open,"

"Ethan, seriously, besides, I don't think Mr Mooney wants to pay for an electrician, I can fix it", Joe practically begged into the phone. Waiting for Ethan to answer,

"Ok.. but the security locks won't be on until the powers set." Ethan sighed,

"That's fine, I'll be there," Joe sighed into the phone. Pressing the Hang up butting and looking back at Ella. He groaned internally, god he needed a pillow to scream into. Joe shoves the phone back into his pocket. Sheepishly making his way back to the table, "hey.. there's an emergency at Mr Mooneys, nothing serious but i do have to go... text me later ok?" Joe smiled, "again.. I'm really sorry," he sighed. Waving her off and rolling his eyes as he headed down the stairs.

'Why does this always happen to the good guy.'
