Joe raised his eyebrows, "Joseph? Nicknaming me already?" He questioned with a chuckle, he shrugged, "I am as classy as it gets, I assure you, Tea in the afternoons? You bet you, want to read, you already know I have at least three hundred books," he smirked goofily. "You think you like it?" He let out, faking hurt, "well. Malady, what must I do to gain your full likingness," be joked,
'Joe... tone down the weird,'Joe frowned, looking back at her, "what? Are we looking at the same one?" He questioned, "perhaps your eyes are still hurting from that melted cheese over there," he waved off,
Sending the mood shift slightly,
'You had to say something, dick'
Joe watched her walk away slightly as he chewed his lip,
'Will it make you feel better if I got the blue one? Lines I'm crossing Ella, why don't you see them?'
He sighed, eyeing the coffee table one last time before following her loosely. What did she see in that guy anyway? Was it the poetry,
'I can rhyme, that coffee table.. hurts to look able- no, no stop,'"Ella-"
He was cut off by her as she looked back at him awkwardly, he watched her, her body language was definitely closed off again, 'me and my smart classy mouth,' Joe internally cursed. "It's not.. I should have-"
'You what?! You went by his house? To do what?'
Joe picked up a vase as they walked, eyeing the intriguing details in the glass, "oh?" Joe let out,
'Sorry, I'm unable to come to the phone right now, I'm duct taped to a chair,'
Joe smiled gently, "I mean.. not to state the obvious or anything but, he seemed to really like that girl," he placed the vase down,
'Of course it shouldn't bother you, you should be dating me, the clear love of your life!'"We all are, it's what makes life fun," Joe teased, joining her side once more before she stopped, he smirked at her excitement. "I think your right,"
An hour and one unnecessary coffee table later and Joe was back in the bookstore, but this time it was closed. He was wearing black jeans and a white T-shirt. Heading starlight for the basement. He could hear the muffled cries of a man as he locked doors behind him, skipping down the steps, "oh good, your still here," he joked to himself.
He held a brown back tossing it into the table closest to the glass cage, "brought you a muffin, well, it's Ethan's, it taste fine don't worry," he mumbled, flexing his fingers slightly before sliding on some blue doctors gloves, "we need to talk" Joe unlocked the door, shoving the key in his back pocket, he leant against the glass directly in front of the man, "your gonna scream, I get it, this whole basement, is soundproof so feel free to that all that hippy bullshit out, no one will hear you, except me of course,"
"Secondly, you hurt someone I love, you hurt her.. you- your broke her heart, and her heart is mine, so.. in turn, you broke my heart, and Evan.. that hurts,"
"Now, we're gonna make a deal," he sighed, pulling the wrist of one of the gloves so that it smacked against his skin, "your going to tell me, everything I want to know about Ella B, her family, her relationships, her friends, anything that is useful to be as her boyfriend, and in return, I will let you go," he smiled leaning in and firmly grasping the corner of duct tape covering his mouth, yanking it back with force, the skin around his lips reddened.
"Now talk hippy,"
