"He has brown curly hair"
"Blue eyes"
"He was wearing a-uh- grey shirt I believe"
"He wears a gold chain, he never takes it off"
"He doesn't go this long without ever talking to me, and nobody has heard from him"

"Okay, thank you for your cooperation, we will take what you guys told us and start up a search party and investigate" The police officer said glancing between Ella, Marco, and Layla who all three stood in Marco's house, worried looks on their faces.

"Thank you, officer" Marco said waving him off before closing the door after the officer left. He turned to the girls. Ella scrunched her eyebrows together as she shook her head quickly.

"Wha- that's it? Just thank you officer and then-what?" She asked making Marco roll his eyes. He was more nervous than he let on but he didn't want to make this into a bigger deal if Evan really was fine. And definitely didn't want the girls to be freaking out more than they were. I
"What more can we do Ella? We just gotta let them do their jobs or else we'll just get in the way" Marco said walking past them to the living room to flop on the couch. Ella followed closely behind with Layla who took a seat beside Marco.

"We should like-I don't know retrace his steps"

"We don't even know where he went after dropping off Layla" Marco replied leaning back and rubbing his temples.

"Well-well we start off at Layla's then, maybe he dropped something by accident near by." She said before sitting down beside Layla. When Layla showed up at Marco's house, it came apparent that something was wrong. Because she was wondering where Evan was as well. Marco immediately called Ella and she rushed over so they could all make statements to the police to file a missing persons report. "Tell me again about what you guys did after the bookstore opening"

Layla leaned back, making a thinking fast as she twirled her curly blonde hair around her finger.

"We went back to my place, and we were making out against my door-"

"Okay not that part! After-after the making out part-after that" Ella interrupted, flustered by the last time she asked and Layla went into deep detail about their steamy make out session. Layla shrugged looking to Ella.

"Literally nothing. I asked him to stay the night but he told me he had to go over to talk to you. The last thing he told me was he wanted to make plans for us to be introduced to each other. He gave me another kiss and I walked inside. I didn't watch him leave but I assumed he went straight to your place" She said, her eyes looking Ella up and down which only made her frown. Ella turned away from Layla as her mind began racing. He was going to tell Ella about Layla. That's why he was going to her place that same night. But..he never made it there..Tears began to well up in her eyes as she felt sick to her stomach. Oh Evan, where were you. She felt a hand on her shoulder making her look to Layla who gave her a comforting smile, her eyes were fighting tears as well. Ella swallowed hard as she looked away.

"I gotta go..." Ella said dryly standing up and leaving Marco's house.

...

She didn't have a destination, Ella just kept walking until her legs decided to stop. And they just happened to stop outside of Mr.Money's shop. She hasn't talk to Joe since he bailed on her last night. And she was..occupied for the rest of it. As soon as she got the call the morning, she couldn't think of anyone else but Evan. Ella sucked in a deep breath, before letting it out before walking into the shop.

She was wearing a basic comfortable outfit. Greg sweatpants with a fitted white t-shirt. Her hair was in a messy bun and she didn't even think to put on any make up. In other words, she looked how she felt. A mess. Her eyes scanned the store until they met with the back of Ethan's head. She walked up to him.

"Ethan where's Joe?" She said quickly making Ethan jump and turn around.

"Oh hey Ella B, now I know your question is Where IS Joe. But have you ever thought of rephrasing it as 'Joe IS where?" He asked, leaning against the bookshelf as he stared at her. Ella gave him a shocking/confusing look, not sure how to answer that at all. "He's over there" Ella nodded, walking over a few aisle until she found Joe. She walked up to him with a sigh.

"Hey...you" She said giving him a pitiful smile. "Do you have a minute to talk? I just-I've had a terrible morning and I just" she felt her words get choked up as her tears began again. She turned away, wiping at her eyes quickly. "Evan is missing. After we saw him that night, nobody has heard from him since. We just filed a missing persons report this morning but I don't think anyone is really taking this seriously" the tears couldn't seem to stop no matter how fast she wiped them away with her arms.
